The IIM Underdogs from Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi won The Grand Finale of Indias biggest B-School competition, Mahindra War Room Season 6 by beating some of the best brains in the country representing top notch B schools on November 14, 2013. The Gala ceremony hosted by the Mahindra Group, Broadvision was held in Mumbai and attended by some of the top industrialists in India including Mr.Anand Mahindra himself.

The not-for-profit NIIT University (NU) hosted the 5th Annual Lecture on November 16, 2013 by Dr. Karan Singh, Chairperson NIIT University and Member of Parliament. Dr. Karan Singh also awarded degree certificates to the B.Tech and MBA students. The entire graduating batch of 2013 had job offers in hand even before the convocation.

The event held in NIIT University campus, Neemrana, also witnessed an inspirational Convocation Address on how youth can bring about change - You can be the Difference by Dr. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chairman & MD, Biocon Ltd.

According to XLRI admission chairperson Dr Vishwa Ballabh the last date of the registration for XAT 2014 has been extended to December 2, 2013. Earlier the last date of the registration for XAT 2014 was November 22, 2013. The exam will be conducted on January 5, 2014.

XAT is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur for admission to its various management programmes. A total of 116 institutes including XLRI, XIMB, LIBA, SP JAIN, TAPMI, XIMR, GIM, XIME, BIMTECH,IMT-Ghaziabad and many others also accept theXAT scores.

Group Discussion in fact is a selection as well as elimination round before the final admission to the B school.
