Registration for CAT 2013 began on August 5 & the around 10,000 CAT vouchers are sold every day since the opening date. While there is a rush for CAT registration & test scheduling, the CAT 2013 testing agency Prometric has swung into full action with readying its test centers for the 20-day CAT testing window between October 16 and November 11, 2013.

Harvard Law School professor Dr Ashish Nanda will take over as new Director of countrys top management institute IIM-A effective September 2, 2013.
An IIM-A alumnus from 1983 batch of PGDM, Dr Nanda who has over 25 years of oversees academic experience, mostly with Harvard institutions, will be the first director at any IIM with substantial international background. The appointment of Dr Nanda to the coveted position under IIMs system also indicates to the policy shift on part of MHRD towards benchmarking premier IIMs with the top ranked global business schools.

XAT 2014 registration opened on August 12 even as XAT officials indicated to a few changes in pattern of the test to be held on January 5, 2014.

According to the XAT officials, the General Knowledge (GK) section which was added to XAT last year only, will now be part of the main paper. Last year, the GK section was introduced into part-II of the test which earlier had Essay Writing as its only feature. Accordingly, the duration of the main paper will also be increased to accommodate the GK questions.

It was something new for the aspirants and as such they had tough time, finding it difficult to solve this benevolent surprise from CAT. The online registration for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2013 began today even as the number of online voucher sale reached near five digits on August 5, 2013.

According to the official CAT website the number of online voucher sale, launched from this year, was over 9000 at 5.00 pm on August 5. The CAT 2013 convenor Dr Rohit Kapoor said that the online voucher sale is aimed at adding convenience to the registration process.
