The study was administered to more than 100 IT Professionals in the software industry. Of these, nearly 32% were female respondents and 68% were male. According to Nasscom, the male to female ratio in the Indian IT Industry is 65:35. The sample study had a similar ratio of 67:32 of males to females, and thus the sample is representative of the population. 70% of the respondents were unmarried and 30% were married.
ASCI to start new session for PGDHM amidst rising demand of professionals in health-care sector
The PGDHM, with intake of 30 seats, is a two-year residential full time programme offered by ASCI and recognized by AICTE. ASCI has invited applications for the programme to be commenced in July 2009.The date of issue of application forms and brochure is March 31, 2009, and the same will be accepted till April 30. The entrance exam will be conducted on May 16 in Delhi and Hyderabad.

MBA education gets expensive; six IIMs hike fees substantially
The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have decided to hike their fees for the academic year starting June 2009. The fee hike ranges from 9% to a whopping 60%. This hike in fee by IIMs is likely to snowball into lesser known institutions also raising their fee. The table shows the increase of fees by IIMs for new academic session starting June 2009.
