ISB holds Asia round of GSVC to boost social ventures
According to ISB, the competition worked as an international forum for exceptionally bright students and entrepreneurs with path breaking social venture ideas. Two teams have been selected to represent Asia at the Global Finals which will be conducted in Berkeley at the Haas School of Business in April 2009. Aimed at a global audience, the platform brings together business schools across the world to support the creation of social ventures. The winning teams in the competition were Pioneer Healthcare from ISB and Ummeed from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai.

They were addressing the event on March 21 & 22, 2009, in Allahabad and Varanasi on the topic How MBA aspirants should plan to enter top B-schools and my experience at top B-school. While suggesting the tips on different steps of getting into a good institute, Nagendra, first year PGP student, IIM L said, The first thing that a student should have is a positive attitude of I have to do it. Hard work is very essential for MBA written entrance exams like CAT, XAT, FMS etc. Taking larger number of Mock test is also very helpful.
