AIMA to celebrate Foundation Day and National Management Day on Feb 21

The theme for this years celebrations is Resurgent India - The Road Ahead. On the day, AIMA will be awarding its prestigious JRD Tata Corporate Leadership award to noted entrepreneur Mr Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman of Bharti Group.

The eminent speakers on the occasion will include Dr Bibek Debroy, Professor, (International Management Institute), Mr K P Singh, Chairman, DLF Group, and Dr Sam Pitroda, Chairman, National Knowledge Commission. Mr Sushil Kumar Shinde, Honble Union Minister of Power, will be the Chief Guest for the occasion.

Nation-wide Entrepreneurship Week India 2008 ends in Bangalore

According to NEN, during the week more than 2500 entrepreneurship events and activities were hosted demonstrating extraordinary entrepreneurial energy amongst students from across the country. Over 50,000 people took the E Week India 2008 nation-wide Pledge to support entrepreneurship in India.

Spread across 30 cities and towns in India, the second E Week India had participation from about 2,00,000 across the country, doubling that of last year.

In its second year, E Week is an initiative of NEN, and co-hosted with over 270 NEN member institutes, TiE, IVCA Indian Angel Network and many other organizations. City Finals begin with a bang in Balasore

The first City Finals began in Balasore, Orissa on 2nd February 2008. After a drawn out five-hour long battle among more than two hundred participants, Balasore had its City Tycoons. IIM-C on Top: Wins ETCiti Grandmasters and Tata Business Leadership Awards

IIMC and Tata Chemicals were adjudged the winners from campus and internal track, respectively, for the 7th Tata Business Leadership Awards (TBLA) while the team of IIM Calcutta comprising Arnav Sinha and Vijay Anand Menon emerged as the winners in The ETCiti Grandmasters held in Mumbai on January 30.

At the Tata Business Leadership Awards, the winners were handed over the trophy and cash prize of Rs 1 lakh by Ratan Tata, chairman, Tata Sons. The IIM-C team consisted of Puneet Jain, Amit Mehta, Puneet Gandhi and Ritesh Saxena.
