While University of Pennsylvanias Wharton Business School has topped the table, its the Hyderabad based Indian School of Business (ISB) that has made India proud with its inclusion in global top 20 ranking. ISB is ranked at # 20, ahead of more fancied B-schools like Kellogg School of management (#24) and UCLA Anderson (#25).

Lavasa and Oxford sign agreement in Davos; Lavasa town to be home to Oxford Centres Executive Education in India

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford, Dr John Hood and Mr Ajit Gulabchand, Chairman of Lavasa Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the sidelines of World Economic Forum in Davos. The MOU was signed for the establishment of the Oxford University India Business Centre (OUIBC).

Mr Vilasrao Deshmukh, Chief Minister of Maharashtra (India) was the Chief Guest for the signing ceremony. Mr Kamal Nath, Union Minister Commerce and Industry, Government of India was the Guest of Honour at the occasion.

IIM C PGPEX Placements 08: Consulting, Tech co. lap up seasoned pros; make $200,000 offer

Close on the heels of IIM-A, Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta announced that their PGPEX participants are being lapped up by blue chip companies. Levis, PWC and Accenture were among the companies that made 60 offers, including overseas assignments at $200,000 a year, to the first batch of IIM Calcuttas PGPEX programme. Six students accepted international offers that averaged $121,000, while domestic assignments, fetching as high as INR 43 Lakh, averaged INR 20 Lakh. The PGPEX programme completed its placement process in December 2007.
