Post Graduate Program in Digital Governance and Management (PGPDGM)
The Post Graduate Program in Digital Governance and Management (PGP-DGM), leading to the award of Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree was launched by the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) in 2019. This program was launched under the aegis of the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India (GOI).
The Program is spread over 2 years in 4 semesters. The Program is offered in blended learning mode with a judicious combination of traditional and virtual class-room modes. This is in tune with the importance and rising trend of such (on-line) programs being offered by educational institutions. Blended-mode of course delivery addresses the constraints of working professionals in having to be away from work for extended duration which is necessitated due to fully on-campus, residential programs. The Program is designed for an immersive and active learning experience for participants. The selected candidates will be required to complete the Domestic component as well as the International component. In addition, participants would be required to carry out a Capstone Project of practical importance, with potential for implementation in the Digital Governance & Management space.

PGDM Online
MDI Gurgaon Post Graduate Diploma in Management Online is a two year non residential programme for working professionals. It is patterned along the same lines as the flagship PGDM programme of MDI Gurgaon. It gives an opportunity for high performers to earn a premium post graduate management qualification from a leading business school. They can earn this prestigious qualification from anywhere in the world without taking a break from their career. Learning will be rigorous and delivered through Online Synchronous Classes, Asynchronous, self-paced learning and Campus immersion.
The first year of the programme will comprise eight modules of six weeks each. Core (compulsory) courses worth 44 credits would be covered in this year. Elective courses are offered in the second year of the programme over three modules of 12 weeks each. The final module is dedicated to an end-of-programme capstone dissertation.
During the second year of study, participants may choose courses from a bouquet of various electives. Participants may specialize in any of the functional areas including Accounting & Finance, Operations Management, Marketing, Organisational Behaviour & Human Resource Management, Information Management, Strategic Management, Business Analytics and Energy Management. Participants must earn a minimum of 36 credits from elective courses. CGPA would be calculated using the electives comprising 36 credits completed with best performance
Three campus immersions will be conducted - a 2 day induction bootcamp, a 5 day deep dive, and a programme closing wrap-up. Campus visits will include peer networking and workshops conducted by MDI Gurgaon faculty along with industry practitioners. The international immersion is optional and will be organized at the end of the programme based on the intention expressed by participants. The 1-2 additional campus immersions and international immersion are optional and will be organized based on the interest shown by the participants.
Participants may consume the asynchronous content in a self-paced manner. Participants will have the opportunity to attend 15 to 30 hours of synchronous sessions per course (depending on the credits), judiciously spread across the term of the course. Synchronous sessions will be scheduled on evenings and weekends. Peer group discussions and tutorials will also be scheduled by the course faculty. Participants will have access to the recording of synchronous sessions.

The programme has uniquely designed curriculum with conceptual rigour and practical relevance. The programme offers learn while earning as participants continue to attend sessions after office hours and weekends. The programme offers three campus immersion opportunities with residency at XLRI Campuses. You have the possibility to pick electives of your choice based on personal interest and strength. The PGDM BM Online course plan involves 714 hours of Scheduled Teaching Hours spread across core and elective courses. Total designed program content for the XLRI-XOL PGDM (BM) program is for 1240 hours consisting of Scheduled Teaching Hours, Flexible Interactive Sessions, Industry Interface and Career Development Initiatives and Tutorial delivered on need basis. According to AICTE norms, selected students are expected to invest additional 1160 hours as Indicative Self Learning Hours in the form of pre-readings, assignments & individual reflections, individual exercises, e-texts, self-assessment etc. across all courses depending on personal strengths and weaknesses.
The programme also provides an opportunity to concentrate in one or two of the functional areas (viz. Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Marketing, Production, Operations & Decision Sciences and Strategic Management). To fulfil the requirement of area(s) of concentration, a participant is required to successfully complete five electives (with highest scheduled teaching hours) offered from the concerned area. The XLRI-XOL PGDM (BM) program is delivered online with three one week campus immersion modules during term I at start, term III and term V.

IIM Ahmedabad has launched Online MBA program which will be conducted in hybrid mode. The Online MBA programme is a two-year long-duration degree granting post graduate programme offered by IIMA. The programme is primarily delivered in an online synchronous mode, suitably complemented through distinct on-campus modules. The blended learning design facilitates participants who prefer to strike a balance between a professional career and academic learning. While the programme is primarily delivered online, it retains the core strength of case-based pedagogy followed by IIMA in all the other programmes.
