The SJMSOM IIT Bombay Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme intends to achieve an optimum balance of Knowledge building, Perspective giving and Skill building courses. A mix of diverse teaching methods like case study, lecture and discussion, simulation games, collaborative and experiential learning is adapted to provide a holistic learning experience and a complete learning cycle.
The Two-year MBA programme is organized into eight terms. In the first year (first four terms), students gain knowledge on all the disciplines of management through 23 rigorous courses. All the academic courses require case studies, course projects and research by students, which provide exposure to the latest practices in the Industry. Students have the option of doing a 1-month winter project at the end of first 2 terms.
The rigor of the academics in the first year culminates in the Summer Project at the end of the first year of the program. The 2-month project done after the completion of all the foundational courses on management, offers the student an opportunity to learn management practices through live projects in the Industry.
In the four terms following the summer project, the program prepares the student to pursue the management discipline of his choice by offering a wide choice of electives in addition to few core courses. Students can decide to choose electives from any or all the disciplines.

TISS MA ODCL program curriculum is spread over 2 years. TISS MA ODCL programme transforms students, both personally and professionally. Students gain a deeper understanding of themselves and behavioural sciences, organisation strategy, operations and the interplay of systems and people processes. TISS MA HRM and LR program curriculum is spread over 2 years. Master of Arts Human Resource Management & Labour Relations (HRM & LR) programme at TISS Mumbai places importance on both theoretical and hands-on learning. While classroom learning through participation in the forms of discussions and case studies, presentations, simulation games, assignments, etc., emphasises conceptual clarity, practical inputs are provided through the rigorous fieldwork system, which complements the classroom inputs by throwing light on the practical dimension of the profession.

The insights that emerge out of such an experience make students conceptually strong and successful in practice of the profession. Students are also required to complete a dissertation on any topic of their choice. All these, coupled with the focused attention that students get owing to the small size of the batch, makes personal learning highly effective. Fieldwork is a continuous process, which seeks to facilitate student’s exposure to varied industry sectors. Besides, students undertake internships with organisations for a period ranging from 6–8 weeks, which is seen as an opportunity for the student to learn significantly from, and contribute meaningfully to organisations.

The M.M.S. Course at JBIMS covers the major areas of business and management, with a strong emphasis on the entrepreneurial as well as the managerial skills. The Course duration of two years is divided into four semesters along with a summer internship project(s) of 8-12 weeks between the second and the third sememster in the months of may, June and July. During the second year of the degree, the students will have to specialize in a field of their choice. Areas of specialization offered in this 2-year full-time programme: Finance, Marketing, Operations, HR and Systems.

After summer internship project(s), students choose their intended area of specialization. All of the disciplines taught at JBIMS, place a strong emphasis on dynamic, practical, and industry-relevant knowledge and skills.

The MBA General program includes a comprehensive set of core courses covering essential aspects of management. A wide range of electives allows students to specialize in areas of their interest. They employ a variety of teaching methods, including Harvard case studies, simulation exercises, and project-based learning, to foster experiential and process-oriented learning.

SIBM Pune MBA curriculum is divided into four semesters spread over two years. In the first year and in part of the second year, students cover Generic core courses as well as electives. At the end of first year, students go for summer internships in prominent companies. In the second year specializations are offered in the areas of  Marketing, Human Resource Management, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain Management and Data Analytics. 

Pedagogy at SIBM Pune is a mix of many methodologies. Apart from the usual chalk-n-talk, there is a conscious effort to make the sessions interactive by using case studies and references of latest developments in the relevant field. In addition, students are encouraged to undertake multiple projects to hone their research and analytical skills. Latest tools and techniques like Business Simulations are used wherever possible. Ample amount of guest lectures are organized by inviting leading corporate executives, especially from the alumni pool. In fact, SIBM Pune has consistently received Awards for excellent industry interaction. Students are also encouraged to write success stories of illustrious alumni, which the college publishes in the form of books. Field visits are also a regular feature.

The program covers the entire MBA curriculum offered by IIM Amritsar. Courses normally covered in the 1st year of MBA at IIM Amritsar will be covered in Semesters 5-8 of the B.Tech. program through lectures in hybrid mode.  In the final year of the IBM program, students are expected to take a minimum of 16 units and a maximum of 18 units of electives divided over three terms. In addition to the above the students will be required to take the core courses Applications of Business Communication, Business Law/Legal Aspects of Business, Strategic Management, Social Involvement Project.

The courses taught in the first year of the MBA program will be covered over semesters 5-8 of the B.Tech. curriculum. These courses will be taught in offline mode. Schedule for these courses will be integrated in the regular B.Tech. schedule of NIT Jalandhar. For the final year of the MBA program the students will shift to the hostels provided by IIM Amritsar and will attend regular offline classes at IIM Amritsar. IIM Offers  optional international immersion Module to IBM students. An additional cost needs to be paid by the candidates if they are interested.

Faculty teaching both IBM and MBA program are drawn from the same pool of faculty available at IIM Amritsar. The attendance and assessment rigor are similar to the MBA program. The IBM students have to comply with the rules and regulations given in the IBM students’ manual. 

MBA HR programme is aimed at developing professionals who will be able to manage all functions and levels of businesses using their HR managerial knowledge and skills. The First Year of the program offers a 2-week compulsory preparatory program for students to enhance their readiness for the MBA HR program; an Orientation program to familiarize students to the IIM way of learning and acquaints them with the infrastructure, services, and student activities at IIM Amritsar. The first year courses are compulsory and provide basic conceptual knowledge and analytical tools in different functional areas of management. All students undergo eight to ten weeks of summer internship after first year of the program. Summer internship helps students to apply their first year learning by doing organizationally sponsored projects. Student performance in their summer internships often result in final placement offers.

Second-year MBA HR comprises core courses in HR spread out over the fourth, fifth, and sixth terms of the program. Students can also choose elective courses from among areas of specialization like Marketing, Finance & Accounting, Information Systems & Analytics, Production & Quantitative Methods, Business Strategy, Economics, and Communication. Additionally, students will also be required to go through a compulsory HR related field project in the second year under the guidance of Institute faculty.

The Executive PhD participants at IIM Sirmaur are expected to complete their thesis in four to six years. In the initial phase, there will be six months of coursework and courses will be offered in the participants’ area of specialization. This will be followed by a Comprehensive Qualifying Examination (CQE). After successfully clearing the CQE, participants will graduate to the research phase of the programme under the supervision of Thesis Advisory Committee (TAC). Doctoral scholars are expected to submit their thesis by the end of fifth year. 

There will be two terms within the six months of coursework. Online classes will be conducted over the weekends. There will be a campus visit scheduled each term for one week for off-line classes and interaction.

IIM Sirmaur offers specialization in Executive PhD programme in the areas of Decision Science, Economics, Finance, Management Information Systems (MIS), Marketing, Operations, Management, Organisational Behaviour and Human Resources Management, Strategy,  Tourism Management, Public Policy and Sociology. A candidate can apply for maximum two areas of specialization.
 

XLRI PGDM BM curriculum lays the foundation for a conceptual and analytical understanding of Indian and international business. XLRI's BM programme is designed to closely integrate current management theory and practice. In the first year of the XLRI PGDM BM programme, the students are offered core courses with case studies and practical learning through industry visits. Summer internship is an important part of the curriculum.

In the second year of the programme, students are taught core courses and also choose the preferred specializations from the bouquet of electives which include Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, International Business, Supply chain, Entrepreneurship among others.
