Application process for admission at IIM Sirmaur opens with the start of CAT registration process. Candidates have to apply for CAT by the last date. There is no need to apply and pay separately for IIM Sirmaur Admission at this stage.
IIM Sirmaur MBA in Tourism Management is a two-year, full time residential programme. Each academic year consists of three trimesters, leading to the granting of a Degree in MBA (Tourism Management). The first year of the program encompasses core courses that provide an understanding of the fundamental concepts of management theories and practices across different functional areas. The first-year coursework is mandatory for all students, followed by a summer internship for a period of six to eight weeks, during which students are required to work on tourism and related projects.
In the second year, students are offered sector specific core and elective courses to specialize in their domains of interest. Students can select their preferred elective courses, provided they fulfil the minimum credit requirements for the Program. Students who successfully fulfil all the requirements of the program are awarded the Degree in MBA (Tourism Management).
The curriculum pedagogy comprises a combination of lectures, flipped classroom sessions, case studies, online resources, fieldwork, project assignments, lab sessions, etc. The sectoral program offers core business knowledge and management skills, including aspects pertaining to Tourism Businesses and Market Disruptions, Entrepreneurship, Destination Planning, Tourism Resources and Product Development, Airlines and Air Transport Management, Policy and Legal Issues, Tourist Behavior, Hospitality Management, Tourism and Travel Operations and Analytics, and various emerging courses that are regularly updated in consultation with industry professionals.

IIM Sirmaur 2 years full time MBA Tourism Management Eligibility criteria require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration after class 12, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
The candidate should appear in CAT/GMAT exam taken during last 5 years and must score minimum prescribed score to be considered for shortlisting.
If not taken CAT or GMAT, candidates can appear in Admission Test conducted by IIM Sirmaur. Exam date will be notified to the eligible candidate well in advance.
Candidates appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply for Admission

Announcement of the final selection/merit list under any category/quota shall be strictly in order of inter-se merit on the basis of the composite score arrived at using weightages as per valid CAT/GMAT (last 5 years)/IIM Sirmaur Test score (if conducted), PI score, academic profile, work experience and gender diversity.
A candidate receiving admission offer from IIM Sirmaur shall be required to accept the offer within the specified time and date and shall need to deposit an offer acceptance amount of Rs. 50,000/-

In addition to the Common Admission Process, IIM Sirmaur will conduct an additional Supernumerary Admission Process (SAP) for candidates especially girl students who meet IIM Sirmaur eligibility criteria at a reduced CAT cut off in shortlisting (80 percentile last year) but do not meet the CAP cut off criteria.
Towards its commitment for promoting gender equity, IIM Sirmaur reserves 50 of the seats for female students. Even though the institute may conduct a separate supernumerary admission interview process to fill these seats reserved for female candidates, the first preference would be given to the qualified female candidates through the CAP process.
After the PI round, IIM Sirmaur will award weightages to various parameters and admission offers are made by IIM Sirmaur to successful candidates.

IIM Sirmaur has an invigorating curriculum for MBA programme. IIM Sirmaur MBA is a two-year, full time residential programme. The first year coursework is spread over three terms. It comprises core courses that explain the fundamental concepts of management across the different functional areas. The courses in the first year curriculum are mandatory for all the students. The first year coursework is followed by a summer internship. During the summer internship, students are required to work on an industry project with an organization for a period of eight to ten weeks. The summer placement is an integral part of the Master of Business Administration. The Placement Office assists the students in finding suitable summer assignments.
The second year coursework is spread over the next three terms (Term IV to Term VI). The second year students are offered elective courses across different functional areas such as marketing, finance, economics, strategy, decision sciences, analytics, information technology, organizational behaviour, human resources, operations & supply chain. The students can opt for elective courses based on their preferences, insofar as they fulfil the minimum credit requirements for the programme. The participants who successfully fulfil all the requirements of the programme are awarded the 'MBA Degree'.
