IIFT 2016 registration process for admission to 2 years full time MBA (IB) 2017-19 programme will close midnight today on September 5. Indian Institute of Foreign Trade has no proposal to extend the last date to apply for the entrance exam which will be held on November 27, 2016 across the country in a single session.

IIFT conducts National Level Admission Test for MBA (IB) courses at its Delhi and Kolkata campuses. So far the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has not proposed any extension in the last date to register and apply for the entrance exam.

CAT 2016 exam pattern stays on the lines of CAT 2015 with 3 sections including MCQs and Non-MCQs although number of total and sectional questions have not been revealed by the exam Convener, Prof Rajendra K Bandi for the sake of confidentiality. Interestingly, earlier CAT notifications used to carry this information in public domain but this year it is missing and Prof Bandi, faculty at IIM Bangalore is not ready to divulge it for the reasons best known to him.

Not much space left for CAT 2016 to deviate

MAT 2016 September paper based test is going to be held tomorrow on Sunday September 4 at 51 test cities across the country. Probably more than 20000 test takers will take MAT 2016 in paper based format. Admit cards for the exam have already been enabled by AIMA for the exam. Now, the aspirants who have prepared well and wish to get admission in the B schools in 2017 through MAT 2016 September exam are getting a bit nervous and are under stress as less than 24 hours are left for the test to begin.

CAT 2016 aspirants should be aware of this fact that IIMs need a high balanced sectional percentile instead of only high overall percentile. All the IIMs fix a minimum sectional cut off. Usually, the minimum sectional cut off is 80 but IIM Ahmedabad has for the first time in its history has lowered the sectional qualifying percentile to 70 for admission to PGP 2017-19. The overall qualifying percentile for all top rated IIMs is minimum 90 except IIM Ahmedabad which has fixed it to 80 only.

SPJIMR, Mumbai has announced wrapping up of another spectacular season of Autumn placements for the out-going PGDM Class of 2017. The Autumn placement 2016 has witnessed 223 internship offers for SPJIMR PGDM participants from 53 companies, which is a jump of 25 per cent over 2015 in the number of companies visiting the SPJIMR campus. The PGDM Class of 2017 has a total of 229 participants.

IIFT 2016 entrance test for admission to MBA (IB) 2017-19 will recognize the significance of even minute decimal fraction of scores to a great extent. If you lose even a minute fraction of 0.01 mark, you may go out of admission race to MBA (IB) 2017-19 batch. The exam is not about number of questions but it is all about score weightage awarded to each section. This is the reason that despite containing more than 120 questions, the total maximum score is restricted to 100 marks in IIFT entrance exam.

CAT 2016 registration window will come to close on September 22, 2016 at 5 PM. Although you need not rush too fast for registration, but it will be good enough in your own interest to finalise the registration in next few days. Timely registration for CAT 2016 will help you to avoid the technical glitches that you may face in last few days and will also let you know what documents in correct format you should upload while applying for the exam.

Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) has announced the online admission process to MBA 2017-19 batch. The last date to apply for MBA programme at XIMB is December 10, 2016. XIMB will accept scores of CAT 2016, XAT 2017, GMAT (taken from 2015 to 2016) or X-GMAT to be conducted by XIMB, XUB on January 29, 2017.
