Managing Faculty Crisis: IIM Calcutta increases stipend for doctoral students

This decision was taken in the Board of Governors meeting held on December 23, 2008. The new stipend policy provides Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 24,000 per month and a Rs. 20,000 annual contingency grant.
Students are also provided a one-time grant for field study, laptop grant and a fully supported international conference attendance anywhere in the world.

IIM Calcutta wins Acumen 2008 National Finals

Represented by Ram Shankar and Shobhit Bhatnagar, the IIMC team, winners of the East Zone finals, met their counterparts from SIBM Pune, IBS Bangalore and IIM Lucknow in the final showdown that was hosted on Saturday, December 13 at the Taj Palace in Delhi.

Initially scheduled to be on November 29 at the Taj Mahal in Mumbai, the event was postponed and relocated after the terrorist attacks at that hotel.
