World Chess Champion Viswanathan Anand, addressed management students and professionals simultaneously across 19 cities in the country on Management Strategy, through NIIT Imperias Synchronous Learning Technology. Organized as a part of NIIT Imperia Leadership Series, Anand shared his insights on how to excel in business by using the strategies and moves applied in Chess.

Represented by Ram Shankar and Shobhit Bhatnagar, the IIMC team, winners of the East Zone finals, met their counterparts from SIBM Pune, IBS Bangalore and IIM Lucknow in the final showdown that was hosted on Saturday, December 13 at the Taj Palace in Delhi.

Initially scheduled to be on November 29 at the Taj Mahal in Mumbai, the event was postponed and relocated after the terrorist attacks at that hotel.

Yale-Great Lakes Research Conference

Yale-Great Lakes Center for Management Research and Great Lakes Institute of Management will be jointly holding the 3rd International Research Seminar on Winning Management on Sunday, December 21, 2008 in Chennai .

The agreement was signed on Thursday, 18 December 2008 by Dr. Atmanand, Dean, School of Energy Management, MDI, Gurgaon and Ms Sumita Misra, IAS, Director, Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA).

In this Part 2 of the XAT special, we share the advice from experts at Indore based PT Education.

As shared earlier, last years XAT paper had 120 questions in total, split into three sections: Data Interpretation & Quantitative Ability (DI/ QA), Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning (VA/ LR) and Analytical Reasoning & Decision Making (AR/ DM). While DI/VA had 44 questions, other two sections had 38 questions each. In addition, there was an essay topic that aspirants had to attempt.

Mr. Lakshmi Narayanan, VC and CEO of Cognizant inaugurated the one day conference. Dr. T.V.
