The B-school students that we interviewed for this series are from institutes like IIM-B, IIM-I, IIM-K, JBIMS, FMS Delhi and IIT Bombays SJMSOM.

The institute will offer 4 months programs for the graduates and undergraduates who want to make career in IT industry. The first offering will be in Gurgaon from the month of September this year. There will be 50 intakes for this year.
The announcement was made during a press meet held on June 11 in New Delhi by Mr Promod Bhasin, Vice Chairman, NASSCOM and President & CEO, Genpact, Mr Rajendra S Panwar, Chairman, NIIT and Mr Vijay K Thadani, CEO, NIIT.

Four groups of students participated in this intensive two-week global program. One group travelled to Greater China (Taipei, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Shanghai), one to East Asia (Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai); one to Europe (Frankfurt, Madrid, London), and one to India (Bangalore, Delhi, and Mumbai).

V B Hemant of Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi, was adjudged the winner of the B-school summer project competition held as part of Bhive, an innovative event organized by IT and BPO major Cognizant on May 30 for its B-school summer interns.

According to IIM-A, the objective of the conference is to provide forum to present and discuss research in marketing related to Emerging Economies and to facilitate sharing research based knowledge among academicians and practitioners on several other areas of Research in Marketing.

Prof Piyush Kumar Sinha and Prof Prathap Oburai, faculty member sat IIM-A, are leading the conference.

According to ABS, over 600 students from Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and J&K participated in this fest.

Various management experts including Mr. Hirdesh Madan, (Head-North, Bulls Eye); Prof. S.P.Singh,(former chairman,UBS, Chandigarh); Dr. K.K. Mangla,( former chairman, Chandigarh); Mr. Sunil Kumar (Alumnus, IIM, Ahmedabad); Dr. S.V. Malhotra,(Ex-H.P.U, Shimla) and Dr. Parveen Kataria (Gold medalist, UBS) gave an advice to the students for the aspects of management education.

This programme is designed for managers at all levels who would like to enhance their influence, both within their organizations and externally with other organizations, by sharpening their communication abilities.

On the occasion, IIM-C auditorium will see all the euphoria and cultural extravaganza comprising a session of hour-long musical evening. The programme would be inaugurated by Dr Shekhar Chaudhuri, the Director of IIM-C, with his key-note address.

Leading Rabindra Sangeet exponent Lopamudra Mitra and folk singer of Bengal, Swapan Basu would share the evening in mesmerizing the audience with their respective school of songs.

The graduating class consists of working executives from 22 countries including Australia, Canada, India, Malaysia, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Korea, China, Hong Kong, USA and Singapore.
