Students and faculty must develop Five Minds: APJ Abdul Kalam

Delivering the convocation address at Mudra Institute of Communication (MICA) on March 31, Dr Kalam lifted the spirits of graduating students, faculty members and others present on the occasion with his inspiration address that covered a wide range of issues. The central point that emerged from Dr Kalams address was that students must have a multifaceted development, with integrity as a core value.

Dr Kalam began by administered a six point oath to the students. The oath read:

MICA holds its 13th Convocation

They were awarded the Post-Graduate Diploma in Management. The ceremony was presided over by the former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, who delivered the convocation address.
Besides the 94 students of the Post-Graduate Programme in Communications Management (PGPCM), 19 students of the Post-Graduate Programme in Retail Communications Management (PGPRCM) also received their post-graduate qualifications from the Governing Council of the Institute.

NMIMS to admit 240 students for its MBA programme

According to the official information shared by NMIMS with MBAUniverse.com, the institute has announced the admissions for the batch of 2008-10 and selected 240 students for this academic session.

The students are selected on the basis of NMIMSs own written test known as National Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) and Group Discussions and Personal Interviews (GD/PI).

According to NMIMS, the final merit list of successful candidates is based on weightages assigned to performance in NMAT, GD/PI, Work Experience and over all Academic Performance.

IIM Ahmedabad wins Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2008

Mr. B Muthuraman, Managing Director, Tata Steel, handed over the National Champions trophy and cash prize of Rs 2 lakhs to the winning team.

The first runner-up was the team from NMIMS- Mumbai and the second runner-up the team from ICAI-Bangalore.

According to information shared by Tata Crucible, The winning team slugged it out in a battle with the regional champions of 11 other cities and won the contest by a whisker on the very last question.

Admissions 2008: IIFT selects 226 students for 2008-10 batch; Q&A with IIFT Spokesperson on final results and GD/PI

Speaking to MBAUniverse.com, Dr Parashar confirmed the development and said, Yes, I have resigned from IIM-I and will be leaving the institute on April 4, 2008. Dr Parashar has been credited with the turnaround of IIM-I. The institute made rapid progress under his leadership in last four years. His current term was officially scheduled to end in 2009.
