General Awareness or GK in CMAT 2016 would play a very important and decisive role in pushing up or pulling down your scores. You can get an edge with higher score and higher percentile, if your GK is well prepared. The role of General Awareness in CMAT is as important as that of Quant, Verbal or Logical Reasoning.
The scoring pattern as advised by AICTE indicates that CMAT 2016 will have 25 questions with 100 marks allotted to General Awareness (GK) like other 3 sections namely Quant, English and Reasoning.

IIM Kozhikode one of the highly ranked B-schools in the family of 19 IIMs with high placement record has announced the shortlist of candidates for flagship PGP 2016-18 batch on the basis of CAT 2015 result declared on January 8, 2016.
The minimum qualifying score sectional as well as overall in CAT 2015 to be eligible to get shortlisted by IIM Kozhikode has been fixed as 90 overall and 80 sectional percentile. The actual percentile score in shortlisting has gone much higher than prescribed..

CAT 2015: 3 Delhi students from IITD & DTU score perfect 100 percentile among 17 achievers
Pramit Arora, Rajat Jain and Sanuj Mittal of Delhi are among the 17 candidates including a female who have scored 100 percentile in CAT 2015 out of the total 179602 candidates who appeared in the exam held on November 29, 2015. 2 out of the 3 with 100 percentile in CAT 2015 are the IIT Delhi students while one is studying in the final year at Delhi Technological University.
IIM Ahmedabad: shortlists 80 percentilers in CAT 2015, 24128 shortlisted for PI; check your place
After announcing its shortlisting criteria based on CAT 2015 scores, IIM Ahmedabad has reduced the minimum cut off percentile ranks for CAT 2015 scores from 90 overall to 80 overall and from 80 sectional to 70 sectional percentile scores. In all 24128 candidates have been shortlisted by IIM Ahmedabad for final admission round.
Apart from CAT 2015 percentile scores IIMA has taken into account academic profile & diversity among other parameters to shortlist the candidates.
CMAT 2016: Blocked Admit Card released by AICTE; sent on mail; download and take the print
The blocked Admit card for CMAT 2016 which created panic among the candidates appears to have been released after resolving the technical glitch. Now the CMAT 2016 admit card has been sent to the mail IDs of all the CMAT 2016 aspirants by AICTE. However, AICTE has also claimed that the CMAT 2016 Admit Card is also available for download on the portal.
CAT 2015: 6867 score negative percentile, 5 with zero marks; records a jump of 255%
CAT 2015 in its revamped look has made many test takers cry with multiple times increase in number of candidates scoring negative percentile over last year. There are 6867 candidates who have scored negative percentile in CAT 2015 while this number was somewhere around 2700 in last year CAT exam. The sharp increase has recorded a jump of 2.5 times.
