National Insurance Academy is organizing the 17th Annual C D Deshmukh memorial Seminar to be conducted on January 14 and 15, 2016 at its campus in Pune.

National Insurance Academy (NIA) was established in the year 1980, under the aegis of Government of India and the then Insurers, the public sector insurers in India. Recently announced admission policy for the PGP Batch 2016-18 of IIM Rohtak emphasizes the need of only minimum 85 percentile in CAT 2015 as against 90 percentile required by other IIMs to qualify to get shortlisted for PI round.

As against other IIMs, IIM Rohtak would award weightage not only to CAT 2015 percentile score but also to other parameters while shortlisting candidates for Common Admission Process (CAP) comprising WAT & PI and to be coordinated by IIM Kashipur for admission 2016-18 batch.

IIM Ahmedabad has announced the shortlist of candidates for the PI round post CAT 2015 result declaration. Hundreds of 99 and above percentilers have not found their names in the shortlist of candidates.

Even after taking due measures to improve gender diversity in class rooms of IIMs, the data released by IIM Ahmedabad containing the list of 17 toppers in the 100 percentile league includes only one female candidate. Sharing the statistics with MBAUniverse.com, convener CAT 2015 and faculty at IIM Ahmedabad Prof Tathagata Bandyopadhyay has informed that There are 17 candidates with 100 percentile in CAT 2015 and they include one female candidate.

Acceding to the requests of CAT 2015 test takers whose result was out on January 8, 2015, International Management Institute (IMI) Delhi has re-opened the admission application process for its flagship PGDM 2016-18 batch for a few days and will close it on January 25, 2016. Highly ranked IMI Delhi will accept only CAT 2015 and GMAT exam scores as one of the mandatory admission criteria. There are 360 seats in admission 2016 at IMI Delhi for the 2 year full time PGDM programmes.

CMAT 2016 Admit card which was proposed to be issued on January 5, then delayed to January 9 appears to have been blocked due to technical glitches as candidates despite their best efforts have not been able to download the same till date. Now AICTE has issued an important notice Admit card of valid candidates will be sent to their registered email ID on or before 14th Jan16. Please contact helpdesk if you do not receive your Admit Card by then.

Once again, making Common Admission Test CAT 2015 a domain of engineers, 17 candidates including 1 girl candidate from engineering background have scored 100 percentile in CAT 2015. The number has surpassed the last year 100 percentilers who were 16 in number, shares IIMA. How to get the Score card

The innovative information system adopted in advising CAT 2015 result through SMS on January 8, 2016 made thousands of test takers very happy as they got a percentile of 95 or 99 overall. But when the detailed result was displayed on website in the evening, it shattered the dream of these high percentilers of getting into any IIM not to say of top rated IIM Ahmedabad, bangalore or Calcutta. Despite scoring a percentile as high as 96 or 99, thousands of IIM aspirants have not been able to cross even the bare minimum sectional percentile when the CAT 2015 result was declared.
