IIM Kozhikode summer placements records new highs
Despite the anxieties and the fear of reduced hiring due to the global economic scenario, national and international companies flocked to IIM Kozhikode for the Summer Recruitment process for the batch of 2008-2010. With a 102 firms, up from 66 last year, participating in the process, the 261 students in the batch got placed in companies of their choice. Summers 2009 saw students walk away with 14 International offers across various functions and in locations like Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany, Dubai, South Africa and London.

In particular, he will head SkillBridge - the employability enhancement program, and AVAGMAH the continuous learning initiative, lines of business.
Before joining 24x7 Learning, Mr. Thimmiya served as the Senior Vice President & Global Head for Channel Operations & Distance Education at Manipal Education. There, he was instrumental for the growth and profitability of the distance education business of Sikkim Manipal University.
KM India 2009: Knowledge Management catalyst to economic growth: K V Kamath, President, CII
Mr K V Kamath, President, CII and Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, ICICI Bank pointed out during his special address at Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organised Knowledge Management (KM) summit KM India 2008.
Mr K V Kamath also said effective knowledge management is a catalyst for economic growth. More it (knowledge) is allowed to flow, more it grows. Sixty percent of Indias GDP is generated by the service industry and for them knowledge is key.

Tackle the two groups in this section, namely English Usage (i.e. sentence correction, paragraph completion, parajumbles, etc.) and Reading Comprehension separately.
NMIMS announces NMAT; to be held on December 28
NMAT is NMIMSsseparate entrance exam known as National Management Aptitude Test.The NMAT will be held on December 28, 2008 for NMIMSs two-year full-time MBA program starting 2009.
The number of seats at NMIMS for two year MBA programmes may increase by 120 in year 2009. According to NMIMS, The total number of admissions expected in 2009 in the Flagship MBA programme is 360 which were 240 earlier.

JBIMS summer placements paint a rosy picture
The recently concluded summer placement season for the Batch of 2010 saw the entire batch of 120 getting placed in no time. The highest domestic stipend on offer once again touched the Rs 100,000 mark. The average domestic stipend also reached an all time high of Rs. 52,000 over the 8-week period.
