The PGDM curriculum at Great Lakes Institute of Management focuses on developing management skills and business acumen though an extensive case-study based pedagogy simulating real-life decision-making. - Internship or part time work experience is not considered. Only full time work experience is considered. However, full time work experience as an entrepreneur or in family business will be taken into account.
- All PGDM applicants are required to appear for GMAT/CAT/XAT /CMAT before applying to Great Lakes Institute of Management.
For PGDM 2025 admission, Great Lakes Institute of Management will accept CAT scores of years 2023/ 2024 or XAT scores of years 2024/ 2025 or GMAT scores taken after Jan 1, 2023 or CMAT scores of the year 2024/ 2025. - Great Lakes awards a special preference for College / University rank holders. The onus of proof of rank is vested in the applicant.

Great Lakes offers diversity and merit scholarships to one year PGPM students to encourage diversity of perspectives and commitment to excellence. A total of 40 diversity and merit based scholarships worth Rs.5 lakhs each will be awarded and minimum of 30% of the scholarships would be for female students.
