The fourth convocation of Alliance University was held on Friday, 18th December 2015 in the Central Campus of Alliance University at Anekal in the august presence of His Excellency Shri Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala, Governor of Karnataka and Visitor, Alliance University; Shri D.H.Shankaramurthy, Honorable Chairman of Karnataka Legislative Council, Shri T.B.Jayachandra, Honorable Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs, Higher Education, and Chairman, Karnataka State Higher Education Council, who is also the Pro-Visitor, Alliance University.

MBA at Institute of Management, Nirma University occupies premier position among top league of B-schools. Scores of CAT 2015 will only be acceptable to shortlist the candidates for PI round at Nirma University. According to Dr Somayajulu Garimella, Director IMNU, the expected CAT 2015 cut off percentile in MBA 2016-18 at Nirma University could be 80 to 85 at the first stage of shortlisting the candidates for PI round. The application process is online and is proposed to close on January 10, 2016 for admission to MBA 2016-18 batch.

Barely a week away, XAT 2016 on January 3, 2016, will be the second largest national level MBA/PGDM entrance test offering admission opportunity in 2016 to XLRI and other 147 highly ranked B-schools. Although CAT 2015 got 2.18 lakhs registrations with 1.80 lakhs appearing in the exam, XAT 2016 is also going to have a good number of candidates going to take the test on January 3, 2016 across the country.

CAT 2015 test takers should feel happy as they are going to get one of the 6 IIMs at a lower percentile score as compared to other IIMs. These new IIMs will be shortlisting 10000 candidates to offer admission to 860 students for their 6th batch of PGPM in academic year 2016-17. Indian Institute of management (IIM) Kashipur one the new IIMs who joined the family of IIMs in 2011 will be co-ordinating the Common Admission Process (CAP) 2016 for new IIMs. There will not be any GD round in the final PI process and WAT & PI will be the only components in the final admission round.

International Management Institute New Delhi has invited applications for its full time Executive Post Graduate Program 2016-17 spread over 15 months. The on-line application process is proposed to close on January 30, 2016. Classes for Ex PGDM 2016-17 shall commence in second week of May 2016.

The programme is approved by AICTE as full time MBA and is accredited by AMBA (Association of MBAs) and SAQS (South Asian Quality Assurance System).

The 23 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in Decision Making section in changed format of XAT 2016 can turn the table in your favour or may keep you away from the PGDM 2016-18 batch in top ranked XLRI. The changes announced for XAT 2016 propose to make the exam easier but are not meant to dilute it in any way.

Top rated IIMs have already announced their admission policy along with the 1st stage shortlisting criteria for PI round for PGP 2016-18 batch after declaration of CAT 2015 result. Only a few of the absolutely new ones who started operation in 2015 are yet to finalize and announce their admission policy for PGP 2016-18 batch.

With the scores cards in hand, candidates are supposed to exercise their options in time as most of these B-schools would be closing their admission process in a month or so. The admission opportunities still exist in good B schools in all percentile range across the country.
