CAT 2015: IIMs with 33% Non engineers in 2016; 67590 take test; IIM- A, B, C, L change admission criteria

CAT 2015 exam right from the beginning aimed to improve academic diversity in IIM class rooms in the academic session beginning 2016. The strategic planning and move to restructure CAT 2015 on the pattern and content with the objective to achieve this goal has turned out to result in more number of non-engineers appearing in the exam than in previous CAT exams.

SNAP 2015: Important topics need wider attention; update your next 15 days study plan

With barely 15 days left for SNAP 2015 going to be held on December 20, 2015 the prospective test takers are supposed to update their study plan to ace the exam. MHRD mulling over curtailing MBA fee structure in private B-schools; spares high fee of IIMs

National level Fee Fixation Committee headed by Justice B N Srikrishna has submitted recommendations to Ministry of Human Resource Ddevelopment to curtail the MBA & other professional courses tuition fee charged by private institutes. The recommendations are proposing another blow instead of providing level playing field for Private B-schools with IIMs as the committee has refrained from recommending any fee reduction in IIMs.

XAT 2016: Easier than earlier with fewer questions and more time; solve 78 in 170 minutes; Maximise attempts

In its revamped form, announced by XLRI, XAT 2016 is going to greet the aspirants with easier and fewer questions in the exam on January 3, 2016. According to the changes announced by XAT 2016 conducting XLRI, the exam will now have only 78 questions divided in 3 major sections which will be responsible to determine your percentile for shortlisting. These 78 questions shall have to be solved in 170 minutes instead of earlier 150 minutes allowing an increase of 20 minutes to solve the test paper.

CAT 2015: 51% Transgender braved the test; 41 out of registered 80 present-first in the history of IIMs

CAT 2015 had an absolutely different experience for the first time as the third gender the transgender candidates made their maiden presence in the exam. Out of total 80 registered transgender candidates for CAT 2015, 41 appeared in the exam on November 29, 2015 in both the sessions.

XAT 2016: Changes announced - Revamped test; 78 questions in 170 minutes

XAT 2016 to be held on January 3, 2016 in paper pen mode will be a totally revamped the exam. Announcing the significant changes XLRI the XAT 2016 conducting B-school advises that the the total number of questions has been brought down to 78 in the question paper and the time allotted has been increased by 20 minutes. The candidates would have 170 minutes to answer the questions. Besides, the level of difficulty of the questions has also been carefully designed to provide level playing field in the test.
