Gateway to admission in various PGDM courses for the batch 2016-18 at XLRI and other important 147 B schools as against 121 in 2015, XAT 2016 is scheduled to be held in a single session on Sunday January 3, 2016 in paper pen mode.

After conclusion of extempore and personal interview round on April 18, 2016, Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) Delhi has declared the final admission result comprising 216 candidates selected for MBA 2016-18 batch. The result was declared around 6.45PM on April 18, 2016 while the final leg of PI round got over in the forenoon session on the same day. It took FMS Delhi only a few hours to declare the final result for admission to full time MBA 2016-18.

Pegging a high minimum percentile required for admission to PGP 2015-17 batch in CAT last year, resulted in very low number of candidates showing interest in IIM Gaya. The learning from the last year must have prompted IIM Gaya in Bihar to reduce the minimum qualifying overall percentile in CAT 2015 from 96.3 to 90 for PGP batch 2016-18. Not only this, IIM Bodh Gaya has also decided to conduct Written Ability Test and Personal Interview under the aegis of IIM Calcutta, the mentor IIM to IIM Gaya.

XAT is known as probably one of the toughest MBA entrance exams in India (only in terms of difficulty of the paper). But the XAT and XLRI authorities seem to have decided to change this perception.
In a clear indication of reducing the difficulty level of the paper, the XAT authorities have put up a clear plan for XAT 2016.

SNAP 2015 going to be held on December 20, 2015 will have 150 questions in all. The much debated and opposed both by IIMs and PGDM B-schools, although on entirely different ground, the pending controversial IIM Bill 2015 may seek the nod of Parliament this winter session in the redrafted form that proposes to retain autonomy of IIMs to a large extent.

Result for Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) full time MBA(IB) 2016-18 entrance exam has been declared. IIFT has shortlisted 1508 candidates for final admission round and has posted the list on its site. Around 60000+ aspirants appeared in IIFT entrance exam on Nov 22, 2015.

MBA(IB) programme at IIFT is its flagship programme and is available at its New Delhi and Kolkata campuses in India and at Dar-es-Salaam campus in Tanzania. For an intake of around 360 seats 1508 candidates from all categories have been shortlisted for PI round.

IIM aspirants who took CAT 2015 on November 29, 2015 are now waiting and contemplating on their probable scores in the exam. But they are oblivious of the fact that even a little lower percentile in CAT 2015 may not bleak your chances of admission to IIMs or other top B-schools if you have good writing and communication skill.

Getting alarmed with the low turnout of candidates seeking admission in the maiden PGP 2015-17 batch, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sirmaur in Himachal Pradesh has slashed the minimum qualifying percentile in CAT 2015 by 16.3 points. Apart from the overall percentile, the required sectional percentile in CAT 2015 score has also been reduced by 5 points in each section.
