XAT 2016 aspirants were taken off guard by the SMS from XAT 2016 on Dec 12, 2015 to make payment of registration fee for XAT 2016 as well as for admission to XLRI. Received 2 days after closing of the registration process for XAT 2016, the message created great confusion for many and pleasant surprise for those who had registered but could not make the payment by the last date due to some technical glitches at the eleventh hour.

Barely 6 days away, SNAP 2015 is going to be held on December 20, 2015 in paper pen mode across the country. SNAP 2015 test with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), will be of 2 hours duration from 2 PM to 4 PM to be held in a single day on December 20, 2015. Candidates are allowed mark their answers with blue or black ball pen on OMR sheet.

Odisha Assembly has passed the awaited Birla Global University Bill on December 7, 2015 at 7.20 PM and has awarded the Bhubaneshwar campus of BIMTECH the status of a State Private University. The passing of the bill has paved the way for BIMTECH Bhubaneshwar to award MBA degree instead of PGDM diploma to management graduates. The Bill was passed by a voice vote.

AICTE has extended the last date of CMAT 2016 registration for another 3 days from December 10 to December 13, 2015. Year 2015 has seen the extension in the last date of registration for all the important MBA entrance exams like CAT 2015; XAT 2016; SNAP 2015 and now CMAT 2016.

AICTE will conduct CMAT 2016 as a computer based test (CBT) on January 17, 2016. AICTE will now conduct only 1 CMAT exam instead of 2 CMAT exams which were used to be held in the months of September and February every year.

If you score reasonably good and exceeding the threshold limit, your slightly low CAT 2015 score may not be a hurdle in getting shortlisted for PI round at IIM Calcutta for PGP 2016-18 batch. Only 67% weightage would be awarded to CAT 2015 scores and the rest 33% wightage will be awarded to you, if you possess other qualities prescribed by the IIM Calcutta.
