While there are many new additions to the list, ten institutes including Mumbai based S.P.Jain Institute of Management & Research have opted out of CAT.
IIFT to conduct entrance exam on Nov 25, to accept GMAT scores too
This year the test will be conducted in 19 cities include Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Jamshedpur, Jaipur, Indore, Allahabad, Bhubaneshwar, Lucknow etc. IIFT has also announced that it will accept GMAT score declared after January 1, 2006.
According to IIFT, the test paper is designed on multiple-choice answers that include English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative analysis. Students have to solve total 200 questions within 2 hours, says IIFT.

Prof J K Mitra, Dean of FMS Delhi, shared this information with MBAUniverse.com. Announcing the date of the FMS entrance test, Dr Mitra said, We have scheduled the next FMS entrance exam for the second Sunday of January -- January 13, 2008. Last year we had to push our exam to third week of January due to extraneous factors, but this year we will pull it back to second week of January.
CAT 2007 to be held on Nov 18
The announcement was made by advertisements released in national media yesterday. The test will be conducted in 23 centers in India. The announcement of CAT date is sure to add urgency and impetus to the preparations of over 200,000 aspirants vying for coveted seats at IIMs and other prestigious institutes.
The CAT Bulletins, which contains application form can be purchased from today till August 16 from select bank branches, and in special cases from IIMs directly by August 20. The last of submission of CAT forms is September 8.

AIMA to hold MAT on September 2, 2007
This time, 167 B-schools are participating in MAT. The participating B-schools include Delhi Business School, New Delhi; Graduate School of Business and Administration, Greater Noida; IILM Institute of Higher Education, Gurgaon; Rai Business School, Hyderabad; IBAT School of Management, Pune; and Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Jaipur.
According to AIMA, MAT is an ISO 9001:2000 certified test and accepted by hundreds of Institutes and University Departments. Every year, lakhs of students avail of this test.
Ishan Institute of Managements 13th batch begins new session
The institute invited Mr Anil Jain, former chairman, Institute of Chartered Accounts of India and Mr Bimal Dubey, PCS ADM, Finance and Revenue, G B Nagar district, for the orientation program.
