Quality Always Comes First: Branding Guru Shombit Sengupta tells MBAUniverse.com

So we were pleasantly surprised when branding guru Shombit Sengupta answered the question thus: Its product quality that comes first, always. Everything else comes later. He added, A brand or a business should satisfy functional, rational and emotional sequence through which a sustainable product is created. Its not just design that can make a product a success. Sengupta spoke to MBAUniverse.com on the sidelines of his book launch, titled Jalebi Management, in the New Delhi on July 4.

The research was done among men and women between 25 and 45 years of age, in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, who are frequently interacting with the world. They included people who have returned to India after stints abroad, as well as Indians currently living abroad. The study also draws from media monitoring and blogging.

IMS holds introductory workshops for MBA aspirants

The workshops were organized at the IMS study centres located in various cities: Delhi, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Noida, Chandigarh and Jaipur. These were conducted by the alumni of IIMs (Indian Institutes of Management) and other leading institutes, and were targeted at MBA aspirants who were keen to know more about the sector.

The workshops had two sessions. The first session centered around The How, What and Why of MBA; The ICAP Way to an MBA was the topic for the second session.

IMI Delhi, World Trade University-Canada and China University of Petroleum to organize Top Management Forum on Energy Security

The forum is being jointly organized with World Trade University-Canada and China University of Petroleum. TMFES is a 17 days intensive program spanning two continents and three countries. The program will begin at IMI New Delhi from September 4 and end on September 7. The next sessions will be held in Canada and Beijing between September 17 and 27.

TiE organizes workshop with NIIT Chairman R S Pawar at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT)

He shared these experiences during the TiE workshop titled Legends and leaders on July 6. The event also saw IT entrepreneur Mr Saurabh Srivastava, President of TiE Delhi and CNBCs Ms Shereen Bhan talk about Mr Pawars contributions.

While addressing the event, Mr Pawar talked about his four by four principles of creative and building process in entrepreneurship and called this era as era of passionate people. This decade is all about passion and process. We have a very passionate young generation, he said.
