XLRI holds a seminar on Industrial Relations

On the occasion, eminent trade union leaders including Mr. Pabitro Chatterjee, President, American Express Employees Union and Mrs. Nisha Ghatkar, General Secretary of HSBC Employee Association Mumbai & President of HSBC Employee Association of India and Ms. Cecelia Viegas, Vice President of HSBC Employee Association of India highlighted the fact that without trade unions management would have a hard time managing large organizations. Their major focus was on employee relations between unions and management in the banking sector.

Symbiosis shares its admission process details

This year the SIBM selection procedure consisted of four different stages: spot essay writing, Case Study, Group Task and Personal Interview. These are some of the details revealed from Masterstroke 07, a report on SIBM admissions 2007.

SIBM says that in total about 97,000 students registered for the SNAPout of which 21000 applied for SIBM. From the applicants, 1056 students were selected for the second round of selection procedure.

Alcatel-TCL country head speaks on business strategy at FMS Delhi

Mr. Valecha is currently the Country Head of Alcatel-TCL Communication Technology Holdings Ltd., a Chinese Telecommunication Company, and was visiting FMS on August 20. Mr Valecha brought with himself earlier experiences from his stints as COO of Haier Telecom, Group Head of LG Mobile and also at Samsung, HCL and Philips. He spoke about work environment and ethics at companies which are often influenced by the socio-cultural phenomena and practices in their parent countries like Korea (LG and Samsung) and Europe (Philips and Nokia).
