PGDM Online
MDI Gurgaon Post Graduate Diploma in Management Online is a two year non residential programme for working professionals. It is patterned along the same lines as the flagship PGDM programme of MDI Gurgaon. It gives an opportunity for high performers to earn a premium post graduate management qualification from a leading business school. They can earn this prestigious qualification from anywhere in the world without taking a break from their career. Learning will be rigorous and delivered through Online Synchronous Classes, Asynchronous, self-paced learning and Campus immersion.
The first year of the programme will comprise eight modules of six weeks each. Core (compulsory) courses worth 44 credits would be covered in this year. Elective courses are offered in the second year of the programme over three modules of 12 weeks each. The final module is dedicated to an end-of-programme capstone dissertation.
During the second year of study, participants may choose courses from a bouquet of various electives. Participants may specialize in any of the functional areas including Accounting & Finance, Operations Management, Marketing, Organisational Behaviour & Human Resource Management, Information Management, Strategic Management, Business Analytics and Energy Management. Participants must earn a minimum of 36 credits from elective courses. CGPA would be calculated using the electives comprising 36 credits completed with best performance
Three campus immersions will be conducted - a 2 day induction bootcamp, a 5 day deep dive, and a programme closing wrap-up. Campus visits will include peer networking and workshops conducted by MDI Gurgaon faculty along with industry practitioners. The international immersion is optional and will be organized at the end of the programme based on the intention expressed by participants. The 1-2 additional campus immersions and international immersion are optional and will be organized based on the interest shown by the participants.
Participants may consume the asynchronous content in a self-paced manner. Participants will have the opportunity to attend 15 to 30 hours of synchronous sessions per course (depending on the credits), judiciously spread across the term of the course. Synchronous sessions will be scheduled on evenings and weekends. Peer group discussions and tutorials will also be scheduled by the course faculty. Participants will have access to the recording of synchronous sessions.
The two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Online) is approved by the AICTE, Government of India. It enables young working executives to earn a postgraduate management qualification from a leading business school. The online application form for PGDM Business Administration Programme of MDI Gurgaon is available on the MDI website with necessary instructions. Applicants have to submit application with an online payment of Rs.3000/- (Rupees three thousand only) inclusive of 18% GST towards MDI Gurgaon PGDM BA application fees.
MDI Gurgaon PGDM Online programme eligibility criteria are:
- The Applicants must have 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in both class X and XII
- The Applicants must have minimum 3-year Bachelor's Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from any
- University recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
- A minimum of 2-year of post-qualification executive work experience
- Applicants must have proficiency in English Language

Fellow Programme in Management
The Fellow Programme in Management (non-residential) is designed to cater to the scholarly needs of working business executives. It prepare executives for careers in management teaching and research, as well as in management practice, consulting and development. Therefore, executives aspiring for the FPM (non-residential) Programme should be willing to devote time and energy that the Programme requires. Classes will normally be held during weekends or in the evening. The course work in first year will be completed in three terms, which are equivalent to approximately nine months.
MDI’s Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, Government of India and recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to a PhD degree of an Indian University. The Fellow Programme in Management encourages rigorous interdisciplinary re-search in contemporary areas of management.
Since its inception in 1999, MDI’s Fellow Programme has been growing steadily, both in numbers, as well as its contribution to the reservoir of knowledge. Seminars, presentations, discussion forums and informal knowledge-sharing sessions throughout the year keep research scholars intellectually stimulated with peers and faculty. MDI’s Fellow Programme encourages research in current and contemporary areas of interest in management. The primary purpose of our Fellow Programme is to develop scholars who will stretch the boundaries of management thought and will also impact contemporary management practices in real time.
The FPM Scholars at MDI have access to a state-of-the-art library, which has a large and diverse collection of books and journals. In addition, MDI subscribes to prominent online journals databases such as ABI/INFORM (ProQuest), Business Source Complete (EBSCO), Elsevier’s Energy Collection, Elsevier’s Business & Man-agement Journals Collection, IGI Online Journals Collection, JSTOR, Emerald Insight, ProQuest’s Disserta-tions & Theses database, Psych ARTICLES (APA), and SAGE Humanities & Social Science Collection.
Admission process for MDI FPM programme is as below:
- Candidates are required to take Standard Tests like CAT/ GMAT/GRE/ UGC-JRF/GATE and apply through these tests. However, for full-time two-year PGP alumni from MDI, IIMs, XLRI & FMS standard test scores may be waived off.
- The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview either online or offline in at MDI Gurgaon
- Based on the performance in academics, entrance exam, PI round, interest in research final selection will be made
The Fellow Programme in Management has to be completed within 4 years after the registration, which may be extended up to 7 years maximum (seven years) depending on the merit of the case and favorable review of work progress by the FPM Committee. The FPM Programme consists of two phases. The first phase of the Programme involves course work, followed by a Comprehensive Research Evaluation. The second phase requires scholars to work on their thesis, which involves the preparation of a thesis proposal, writing of the thesis, a final Viva Voce, an examination based on the thesis.
The student is required to take First Year courses of the Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). These courses are approximately of three months duration. Only after completion of PGDM level course work, can the student start with FPM level course work. Scholars who already hold an MBA degree are exempted from this course work requirement. Fellow-level courses consititute three levels General Core Courses, Area Core Courses and Elective Courses.
Applicants have to apply online by visiting the MDI Gurgaon website. They can click on the programme they wish to apply for and follow the instructions given on the website. Candidates have to make an online payment of Rs. 3000/- (Rupees Three Thousand Only) inclusive of 18% GST using Credit/Debit card/Net Banking.
Eligibility Criteria for MDI FPM (Non Residential) admission are as below:
- A master’s degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks (with first division) or equivalent grade point average recognized by AICTE /AIU with a Bachelor’s degree / equivalent qualification after com-pleting higher secondary schooling (10+2), Or Five year integrated Master’s Degree Programme in any discipline with at least 60% marks (with first division), obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2), Or
- A minimum of 50% marks in 10th, 12th, and Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent CGPA along with Master’s degree with 60% (with first division).
- Candidates with gender diversity, PWD (person with a disability), EWS (Economically weaker section), or rural-urban diversity are encouraged to apply for the FPM programme.
- For FPM (Non-Residential), minimum age of 35 years and a minimum of 10 years of managerial work experience, preferable at senior-level, is required as on last date of application.
Based on the performance in academics, entrance exam, PI round, interest in research final selection will be made for MDI FPM programme.
