XIMB MBA-BM 2027 admission is for Batch 2027-29 of the two-year, full-time and fully residential MBA in Business Management, the flagship programme of Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar. XIM University awards the MBA-BM degree. Before the university was formed, the same programme was offered by XIMB as the PGDM. As per the institute, the MBA-BM is identical to the earlier PGDM in quality, content, duration and delivery.
XIMB MBA-BM Programme Highlights 2027
The XIMB MBA-BM prepares graduates for roles in private companies, public sector organisations, multinationals, higher education and research. Students study every core business function, including finance, marketing, operations, human resources and strategy, while the programme gives equal weight to ethics, teamwork and decision-making under uncertainty.
Industry practitioners deliver about 15% of the MBA-BM curriculum at XIMB. They teach through immersion courses led by senior executives, co-teaching with faculty, leadership dialogues, business conclaves and the annual Business Excellence Summit. Students also have access to an international exchange programme with partners such as the University of Antwerp, Belgium, and the Warsaw School of Economics, Poland.

The XIMB MBA-BM curriculum carries 105 credits: 66 compulsory core credits and at least 39 elective credits, where one credit equals 10 contact hours. The first year covers only core courses. A summer internship of at least eight weeks in an organisation is mandatory between the first and second years, and the second year is built around electives.
The academic year runs in three terms, from June to September, September to December, and up to March. Students attend about 20 classroom sessions of 90 minutes each week, and the institute estimates a weekly workload of about 70 hours. A 60-hour pre-registration module in accounting, quantitative techniques, business communication and Excel helps students from every academic background start on an equal footing.
