The courses comprise Professional Management Practice including Rural immersion and interaction with Industry experts as mentors, field immersion and summer internship on completion of the first year. It lays the foundation for conceptual and critical reasoning. Lectures by various guests including academicians, industrialists, and eminent personalities, also enrich the student experience.
The Field Immersion Module during the 1st year at IIM Nagpur offers an opportunity for MBA students to interact with the industry. Students are attached to participating organizations from 4 broad sectors- Government and Infrastructure; Industry and Business (Small and Medium Enterprises); Agriculture, Food Processing & Rural Development and NGO and Environmental Management.
Also, students intern with corporate enterprises in the traditional summer internship at the end of the first year. The FIM acquaints them with the organizational challenges of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the not-for-profit sector.
IIM Nagpur MBA curriculum also offers International student exchange programmes with multiple foreign universities. This helps them in being better prepared for careers in a highly dynamic global business world.
The second year of the MBA programme focuses on more experiential learning and specializations.
Register and apply for CAT exam by paying the requisite application fee for the exam. On the page 4 of CAT application form, you need to select IIM Nagpur PGP (MBA) and other programs and select the interview city. Your application for IIM Nagpur admission is submitted. At this stage, you do not need to apply and pay separately for IIM Nagpur Admission. After declaration of CAT exam result, you can check at IIM Nagpur as well as IIM CAP website whether you are shortlisted by entering your CAT registration ID and password. You may need to register at IIM Nagpur website to reconfirm your interest for IIM Nagpur admission.
- IIM Nagpur 2 years full time MBA Eligibility criteria require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration after class 12, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- The candidate should appear in CAT exam and must score minimum prescribed sectional and overall score to be considered for shortlisting.
- Candidates appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply for Admission
- The candidate must have appeared and scored the minimum required percentile in CAT. Candidates are short-listed for CAP round which is the common PI round for CAP participating IIMs.
- Candidates are shortlisted from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and have their interest and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme
- After the PI round, IIM Nagpur will award weightages to various parameters and admission offers are made by IIM
Nagpur to successful candidates.
The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in CAT, performance in CAP round, academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements, work experience among others
Admission offer letter would be sent to all successful candidates. Candidates, who are offered admission, need to confirm their acceptance by completing all the required formalities by the stipulated date

IIM Nagpur has concluded the final Placement 2024 for its 8th largest batch of 255 students enrolled in its flagship MBA 2022-24 programme before organizing the Convocation for the batch. While IIM Nagpur witnessed a marginal dip of 2.69% in overall average salary in Placement 2024, the institute saw more than 3% increase in average salary for top 50% batch. Although the overall average salary is down at Rs.16.29 LPA from Rs.16.74 LPA last year, it is still the highest average salary registered in placement 2024 by any of the seven third generation IIMs.
