The two-year full-time, residential, Master in Business Administration (MBA) programme, popularly known as Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) is the flagship programme of IIM Nagpur. The programme aims to create leaders, managers and entrepreneurs with strong conceptual foundations and analytical meticulousness ingrained in a sound understanding of the socio-economic context. The MBA has been designed with a view to prepare the students for leadership roles. The IIM Nagpur curriculum is benchmarked against the best in the world to ensure that excellent management education is imparted based on vibrant pedagogic practices while maintaining contemporary relevance in the Indian scenario. A combination of lectures, classroom discussions, case studies, individual and group projects, term papers, role plays, business games are included to deliver and evaluate the courses.
MBA program includes 3 terms in a year. The courses comprise Professional Management Practice including Rural immersion and interaction with Industry experts as mentors, field immersion and summer internship on completion of the first year. The Field Immersion Module during the 1st year at IIM Nagpur offers an opportunity for MBA students to interact with the industry. Also, students intern with corporate enterprises in the traditional summer internship at the end of the first year. The FIM acquaints them with the organizational challenges of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the not-for-profit sector.

However, the final selection may be based on a higher cut-off percentage depending on the total number of applicants for the programme. Candidates who are unable to comply with this requirement are liable to be rejected from the programme. Academic Record
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the final stage of the selection process – the Individual Assessment Individual Assessment Process (Personal Interview) will be held in January/ February 2026(tentative). Past academic records, performance in the individual assessment process along with other qualitative parameters, like quality of work experience and extra-curricular activities constitute the core components of the selection process. The IMI Bhubaneswar Admissions Committee reserves the right to modify these components while communicating these to the applicants at the Individual Assessment stage. The overall objective will be to identify and assess the candidate’s potential for a managerial career.
Personal Interview
The last stage of the procedure is the Personal Interview round in which students are evaluated based on their knowledge of current events, oral communication skills, domain knowledge of their degree, and work experience (if any). This is an extensive session with a panel that includes representatives of the faculty, business houses, and alumni. Students are also assigned a topic for the extempore round, which assesses their ability to think on their feet.
