XIM B and UNDP provide HIV patients a ray of hope
Under the UNDP-supported Leadership and Managerial Proficiency program (LAMP), Bhubaneshwar-based Xavier Institute of Management (XIM B) provided six-weeks of formal training in management skills to HIV positive participants -- and awarded them diplomas.
According to XIM B, The objective of this program was to empower HIV-positive people by enriching them in managerial skills in order to help them lead a meaningful life with self-dignity and advocating for the cause of HIV-infected people like them.
NITIE organizes Mandi -- a social initiative for experiential learning

That what Mandi, an annual event organized by Mumbai-based NITIE (National Institute of Industrial Engineering), set out to achieve on August 1. For this program, NITIE students applied all skills learnt in class by selling the toys made by an NGO called Navnirmiti. And it seems to have been a big success!

NMIMS announces NMAT on December 30
The exam will be held on Sunday, December 30 2007.
This year the test will be conducted in 21 centers across the country. The test paper is designed on multiple-choice answers format that include Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, General Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation. Students have to solve a total of 200 questions within 150 minutes.

MICA sets up Entrepreneurship Development Center; to launch PG program on Independence Day
This program aims to develop innovators and entrepreneurs for the communications industry. The first batch of this 15-month program will be inaugurated on August 15, 2007. The batch consists of 70 students who plan to develop self-sustaining businesses in the communications sector.
