XIM-B to offer eight new electives in new academic session commencing June 21

The two-year full-time PGDM program, the two-year full-time PGDM (Rural Management) program and the four-year Fellow (Doctoral) Program will commence on June 21st 2007. And the three-year executive PGDM program will begin on July 9, 2007. The institute will also organize a 3-day orientation program prior to the commencement of the courses that will give an introductory exposure about the teaching and learning processes at the institute.

Manipal Education Group acquires 70% stake in MeritTrac

Bangalore-based MeritTrac, with an annual turnover of around Rs 20 crore, was valued at Rs 75 crore.
The acquired controlling stake included a 40 per cent held by HAV2 (Mauritius) Ltd., advised by HSBC Private Equity (Asia) Ltd. Financial investor HAV2 had earlier invested around Rs 16.5 crore in MeritTrac. Following the acquisition, HAV2 would get around Rs 30 crore.

The founding team of Madan Padaki, S Murlidhar and Mohan Kannegal would continue to lead MeritTrac and hold remaining 30 per cent. MEG would join the Board of Directors of MeritTrac.

UK-based Imperial College to offer Rajiv Gandhi scholarships to Indian MBA students

The scholarships will be for a one-year full-time Imperial MBA program commencing in October 2007. The last date to apply for the scholarships is 31 July 2007.

According to Tanaka Business School, To apply for a scholarship, the applicant must have an offer of a place on the Imperial MBA and a GMAT score of 680 (or above).
