MICA beats IIM-A to win the national LOreal Brandstorm Finals

The finals were held on 27th March 2007 at JBIMS, Mumbai. Speaking with MBAUniverse.com, LOreals India MD Didier Villanuevas said, Overall the presentations were much better than last year. The two teams from IIM A and MICA were on the top of the heap. It was tough to decide but in the end we gave the award to the team from MICA. It was a more holistic presentation.

MICA team will now fly to Paris to compete against the national winning teams from each country and present their Marketing Strategies to LOrals CEO, Jean-Paul Agon and other LOral top marketing managers.

We are making good progress, says Dr Anwar Ali

In his directors report, Dr Anwar Ali, director, IMT Nagpur, noted the steps that the institution is taking to make its presence felt. The year has seen IMT Nagpur strengthen its position as a premier business school, he observed.
In terms of placements results in 2007, Dr Ali said, A total of 32 companies were involved in the placement process. The average salary has increased to Rs 4.67 lakh, while the highest salary this year has been Rs 7.41 lakh.

The teams are from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai and Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad.
