The highest salary offered was Rs 7.5 lakh per annum. Comparative data reveals that the average salary has increased this year to Rs. 5.6 lakh from last years Rs. 4.73 lakh an increase of 19%.Infosys, Cognizant, ICICI Bank, Delloitte and Citigroup were the major recruiters this year; there were 11 first-time recruiters on campus. In all, 61 offers were made and 37 students placed.

IIM Indore: Average salary jumps by 45% at Placements 2007

According to IIM-Is news release, the average salary offered has increased by 45% -- touching Rs 12 lakh per annum. In all, 329 offers including 12 international ones, were made to 115 students. NIIT Imperia and IIM-C to offer management programs for working professionals

Finance offers dominated this year placements, which close to 50% of all placements happening in finance domain. The highest paying job on campus came from the financial sector with Calyon Bank offering Rs.16 Lakhs per annum. Nearly 48% of the batch opted for a career in Finance; the rest was nearly evenly spread between IT, FMCGs, Consulting & GM. Average salary in the Banking & financial services sector was INR 13 lakhs per annum. Dubai based retailing company Jumbo Electronics made the highest foreign offer of AED 220,000.
