PhD in Management
Indian Institute of Management Nagpur has started the Doctoral Programme from the academic year 2021-22. The objective of the programme is to seek, develop, and foster contextually relevant and socially conscious academicians and researchers seeking thought leadership in management fields.
IIM Nagpur PhD program duration is four years. It is a full time programme. No fee is charged from the candidates who are admitted to IIM Nagpur PhD programme. Instead, they are paid monthly stipend of Rs.30,000 per month for first two years and Rs.33,000 per month in last two years to pursue the PhD programme. The two-year full-time, residential, Master in Business Administration (MBA) programme, popularly known as Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) is the flagship programme of IIM Nagpur. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
SJMSoM IIT Bombay offers 4 year full time Doctoral Programme PhD in Management. With sound research base and extensive infrastructural facilities available, SJMSoM IIT Bombay offers PhD programmes in strategic management, technology management, financial management and operations management. The broad objectives of the PhD programme are not only to keep pace with expanding frontiers of knowledge but also to provide research training relevant to the present social and economic objectives of the country.
The IIT Bombay PhD programme in Management prepares the students for careers in teaching and research. The academic programme leading to the PhD degree is broad-based and involves a minimum course credit requirement and research thesis. Scholarship
A candidate, selected for the full time Ph.D. Programme, at SJMSoM IIT Bombay will be eligible for the financial support. The assistantship is payable for a maximum duration of 5 years or up to the thesis submission, whichever is earlier.
No programme fee is charged from the full time PhD candidates. They will be offered hostel accommodation at the campus
The monthly rate of Teaching Assistantship is Rs. 31,000/ for the first 2 years and enhanced rate of Rs. 35,000/ for the remaining period.
For Research Associates, the monthly rate of assistantship is Rs. 35,000/ for the first 2 years and enhanced rate of Rs. 39,000/ for the remaining period.

The SJMSOM IIT Bombay Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme intends to achieve an optimum balance of Knowledge building, Perspective giving and Skill building courses. MBA programme in XBS has been designed keeping in mind the current industry scenario. It is an application-based programme where the focus is not only given to classroom teaching but also on out-of-class learning. XBS hosts number of G-talks with the focus on outbound learning where students get enriched by valuable inputs from the industry experts. The faculty in XBS consists of a mixture of both in-house and guest faculties with extensive teaching and work experience. The guest faculties include both experts from the academic domain and professionals from the industry.
XBS offers specializations in the domain of Finance, Marketing, Human Resource (HR) and Business Analytics.
- Successful completion of any Undergraduate Degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline from a recognized University (Approved by UGC), with a minimum of 50% marks (or equivalent grade point) in the aggregate. (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC and Christian candidates).
- If the final degree result is not published at the time of application, % of marks for eligibility will be calculated on the basis of 1st to 4th Semester or 1st & 2nd Year (as applicable) (6th Semester in case of a 4 Year Degree Program) and the candidate is required to pass in all papers. If, at the time of admission, the final degree mark sheet cannot be shown, the admission will be provisional, and the student must produce the same latest by October 31st, 2024 ; failing which the admission is liable to be cancelled.
- Appearance in any of the below-mentioned National Level MBA Entrance Tests: XAT, CAT, GMAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, & NMAT with a decent percentage/percentile score, valid for the present academic year. The primary selection list for GD-PI-WAT will be prepared by the Institute on the basis of this score.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on National Level Entrance Test Score (XAT, CAT, GMAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, NMAT)
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in Group Discussion, Personal Interview, and Writing Ability Test as part of the selection process.
The final selection of the applicant will be based on his/her composite score prepared by Xavier Business School, which considers assessment of the candidate from different dimensions,
