MBA Executive program at IIM Kashipur is of 2 years duration and is offered in hybrid online and class room mode. The 60% part of the curriculum will be covered in Online mode and 40% part will be covered in class room sessions. The classes are held on Saturday from 3.30 PM to 9.30 PM and on Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM at IIM Kashipur Dehradun campus. The executive MBA program helps the executives to enhance their management & leadership skills for their development & effectively contribute more to their organizations. The programme develops a knack for digital dexterity to use existing & emerging technology effectively, instils entrepreneurial spirit to encourage startup culture,  enhances business communication, especially in business applications, Contributes to organization development with greater agility and competence.

The course curriculum is divided between core courses and electives and offers Digital dexterity, Future skills, Value added course pack, Simulation games, Flexibility in the course, teaching by Expert faculty members, Campus immersion, Industry Learning, Peer Learning. 

Core courses in IIM Kashipur MBA Executive program include the areas of Business analytics, Marketing, Finance, business economics, design thinking and innovation, Operations and supply chain management, communication, Strategy. The participants will be offered choice of specializations from General Management, Marketing, IT System, Finance, Operations, Economics, Strategy, Communication

IIM Kashipur nurtures the key skills in students through a balanced mix of academics, industry exposure and co-curricular activities. The program provides a comprehensive learning environment to cope with the increasing demand for complex data analysis to help organizations to make better business decisions. 

The MBA Analytics at IIM Kashipur is divided into six terms; three terms in the first year and three terms in the second year. Each term is of around eleven weeks’ duration.  The program helps the students to understand the necessary principles of different forms of analytics (descriptive, predictive and prescriptive) to facilitate decision-making in practical business settings.

In the first year MBA participants are given a complete flavour of general management as well as different function aspects of management with an objective to develop a holistic view of organizational management. Participants complete 21 credits of core courses in two years. One course credit is equivalent to 100 hours of study including 30 hours of class interaction. The new core course structure develops the students of IIM Kashipur to become better leaders in the new economy by making their training more contemporary. At the same time, this structure also makes them aware of the grass-root level problems in our society and why they should care about those issues.

The new design also supports several of the strategic plans of IIM Kashipur of promoting learning and practices in emerging areas of management with addition of business analytics, and introduction of experiential learning component. One crucial expectation in this new structure is that in every course, wherever possible, faculty talks about how the learnings of that course can relate to the realities of the Indian economy. Similarly, across all the courses, ethical ideas and communication skills also are incorporated whenever applicable.

In the second of year of MBA programme, IIM Kashipur offers wide range of specializations in its MBA program. These are Communications, Economics, Finance, Information System, Marketing, OB & HR, Operations & Decision Sciences and Strategy. Apart from the electives being currently offered, there is also a focus on developing a new set of electives. This new set of electives will focus more on the emerging issues in society and business and will be innovative and aspirational. Along with the electives and core courses, students will also be allowed to take courses of independent studies (CIS)

The participants are expected to complete the programme within four to six years. The initial six months of coursework will be followed by a comprehensive assessment before participants will undertake the thesis work for the remaining duration under the supervision of a Dissertation Advisory Committee (DAC). Participants are expected to submit their thesis by the end of the fourth academic year. If a participant does not complete the dissertation by the end of the sixth academic year, he/she may be allowed to register for one additional year, only on the recommendation of his/her DAC Chair and Ph.D. Programme Chairperson.

IIM Nagpur launched the PhD programme to seek, develop, and foster contextually relevant and socially conscious academicians and researchers seeking thought leadership in management fields. The program duration will be four years. The initial two years will be coursework leading to a comprehensive assessment. Afterward, participants undertake the thesis work for the remaining duration under the supervision of an advisory committee. An extension of up to one year is possible with a recommendation of the Dissertation Advisory Committee (DAC) chair and upon approval by the programe Executive Committee (EC). However, no stipend will be provided during the extended term beyond four years unless approved by the programe EC in consultation with the Director.

IIM Nagpur Pune campus Executive MBA programme is a two-year programme spread across eight terms of 3 months each (4 terms in each year). The programme incorporates about 750 hours of classroom teaching spread over two years. The courses include a mix of core (compulsory) courses and elective (to be chosen by participants) courses.
The programme follows a credit system where 1 credit equals 10 hours of classroom teaching. All courses will generally be of either 3 credits (30 hours) or 1.5 credits (15 hours). Each term (of 3 months) will have 3 to 4 courses (total max 9 credits). The core (compulsory) courses will be delivered over the first five terms (4 terms in the first year and first term of the second year), totalling to 45 credits (or 450 hours). 

The final three terms (6, 7, 8) in the second year will comprise of elective courses across various areas of specialization. The participants can choose courses as per their interest and professional requirements. A major specialization will be considered if a participant chooses minimum 4 elective courses from one area, and a minor specialization will require a participant to choose minimum 3 elective courses from one area. Currently, the various specialization areas in IIM Nagpur MBA Executive programme are Strategy & Entrepreneurship, Decision Science & Information Systems, Economics, Humanities, Arts, & Social Sciences, Finance & Accounting, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour & Human Resources Management, Production and Operations Management.

The total credits to be accrued by the participants across all elective courses (in terms 6, 7 & 8) should be minimum 30 (300 hours) and maximum 36 (360 hours).

The IIM Nagpur curriculum is benchmarked against the best in the world to ensure that excellent management education is imparted based on vibrant pedagogic practices while maintaining contemporary relevance in the Indian scenario. A combination of lectures, classroom discussions, case studies, individual and group projects, term papers, role plays, business games are included to deliver and evaluate the courses.

MBA program includes 3 terms in a year. The courses comprise Professional Management Practice including Rural immersion and interaction with Industry experts as mentors, field immersion and summer internship on completion of the first year. It lays the foundation for conceptual and critical reasoning. Lectures by various guests including academicians, industrialists, and eminent personalities, also enrich the student experience.

The Field Immersion Module during the 1st year at IIM Nagpur offers an opportunity for MBA students to interact with the industry. Students are attached to participating organizations from 4 broad sectors- Government and Infrastructure; Industry and Business (Small and Medium Enterprises); Agriculture, Food Processing & Rural Development and NGO and Environmental Management.

Also, students intern with corporate enterprises in the traditional summer internship at the end of the first year. The FIM acquaints them with the organizational challenges of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the not-for-profit sector.

IIM Nagpur MBA curriculum also offers International student exchange programmes with multiple foreign universities. This helps them in being better prepared for careers in a highly dynamic global business world.

The second year of the MBA programme focuses on more experiential learning and specializations.

The structure of the Doctoral PhD program Management in SJMSOM is mentioned below: 

• The Ph.D program in SJMSOM consists of two phases - 1) Course work 2) Research Work. The credit requirements are:
   
• For Non-M.B.A background, the candidate is required to complete a minimum of 52 credits.
   
• For M.B.A background, the candidate is required to complete a minimum of 40 credits.
   
• There are 3 compulsory courses irrespective of the background which needs to be completed before registering for Ph.D
   
• Credit Seminar has 4 credits. At most 2 credit seminars can be presented
   
• Research Methodology course has 6 credits
   
• Communication course should be completed. It is an Institute level course with no credits
   
• After the successful completion of course work, the registration to Ph.D is done and the phase 2 of research work starts.
   

The curriculum of 18 months Executive MBA programme offered jointly by SJMSoM IIT Bombay and Washington University in St Louis mirrors the content and structure of Washington University’s internationally recognized sister programs in the U.S. and China. Many of the same faculty members teach the courses. 

The classroom modules are held over four days every month, from Thursday morning to Sunday Evening at the IIT Bombay classrooms. Every EMBA participant must record 600 contact hours to get programme graduation. The classes are conducted in English and include Indian and US management perspectives. Two of the 18 programme modules are taught at Olin Business School’s Charles F.Knight Executive Education & Conference Center on the Washington University campus in St. Louis.

The EMBA course curriculum is split between core and advanced functional modules. These allow for refreshers in functional fundamentals, multi-modular or cross functional training, strategic and leadership courses, people management and business communication up skilling, all delivered through a right blend of classroom learning, case analysis, brief papers on specific topics and more significant long-term papers. Participant evaluation is a function of individual and team.
During the two week stay at Washington DC & St.Louis, the candidates will have one to one Executive Coaching session, Industry visits in St. Louis Global Tycoon Championship and will also have opportunity to study with EMBA St Louis or China Cohorts.
