In the first year MBA participants are given a complete flavour of general management as well as different function aspects of management with an objective to develop a holistic view of organizational management. Participants complete 21 credits of core courses in two years. One course credit is equivalent to 100 hours of study including 30 hours of class interaction. The new core course structure develops the students of IIM Kashipur to become better leaders in the new economy by making their training more contemporary. IIM Visakhapatnam PGP programme is of 2 years duration. There are three terms in a year. Students go for summer internship on completion of first year. In the first year, the Programme lays foundation for conceptual and analytical reasoning, and gives students an insight into the dynamics of the business environment. IIM Sirmaur MBA in Tourism Management is a two-year, full time residential programme. Each academic year consists of three trimesters, leading to the granting of a Degree in MBA (Tourism Management). This large, growing, critical, international industry requires both an understanding of core management skills as well as significant domain expertise. The vision of the program is to make participants industry ready for not just day one for BFSI (Banking and financial services Industry), but to provide them with the conceptual and principles-based understanding that will future-proof their skillsets to meet the expected material disruption in this space over the next few years.
