IIM Sambalpur Executive Ph.D. Programme is a unique doctoral programme (Ph.D.) in management designed specifically for working professionals with a minimum of five years of full-time work experience. The Programme intends to provide industry professionals an opportunity to build career in academia.
IIM Sambalpur Executive PhD programme in Management has a duration four years with facility of extension upto two more years. The Executive PhD will be a part time programme. The student will be expected to complete the programme in four years, including a maximum of two years of course work. Under special circumstances, extension may be granted to the student. The two year MBA programme has rigorous and contemporary curriculum which is updated as per industry demand. The first year of the Programme provides the participants with a thorough grounding in the functional areas of Management. The first-year courses in the core curriculum are common to all participants. The rigour of the programme will enable them to enter into any stream of management when they embark upon a career, regardless of the choice of specialization they make in the second year. The summer internship towards the end of first year is an important building block of the programme. Instructors adopt multiple pedagogical tools including lecture-discussions, case method, problem-solving exercises, psychometric tests, behavioral and computer-based simulations, projects, class presentations, and various forms of technology-based learning such as multi-media, and e-learning, to facilitate the effective learning. Self and group studies are given higher emphasis over the lecture-based study.

Executive Post Graduate Diploma In Sports Management (EPGDSM)
IIM Rohtak has started a specialized program in “Sports Management” for experienced professionals, sports graduates, and sports enthusiasts. This program is for industrious participants interested in working in the sports, entertainment and related industries. While a graduate with 50% marks can apply for the programme, experience in the relevant field is an added advantage to pursue the programme but is not mandatory. On successful completion of the academic requirements of this 2 year programme, the students will be awarded “Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Management”. IIM Rohtak alumni status will be awarded to all the students.
Graduates of this program will be equipped to understand the legal, regulatory, operational, financial and branding concepts in the sports industry, nationally and globally. This understanding enables graduates to solve the problems arising in the industry and carve a niche for themselves in this growing sector in India.

IIM Rohtak launched 5 Year IPM in 2019-20. The first batch is to pass out this year. Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) offered at IIM Rohtak is a dual degree BBA+MBA programme.
