The stipend for the first 2 years is Rs.38,000 per month and for 3rd and 4th year the amount of stipend is Rs.41,000. In addition to the above, a contingency grant of Rs. 25,000 in the first year, Rs. 30,000 in each of the second and third years, and Rs. 15,000 in the fourth year will be available to the students for academic expenses like case material, books, travel, data collection expenses, thesis expenses etc. Students will be permitted to carry over surpluses to the following years. MICA Ahmedabad Scholarships, leading to partial or full fee waiver are offered to the students. MICA Scholarships are Merit Based and Need Based which are offered to students in 1st and 2nd year of the MBA courses to support them to pursue the management program with reduced financial burden. MICA Scholarships are awarded annually based on the student's overall academic performance and family income. The scholarships are awarded to the students who are currently pursuing studies at MICA. The process of evaluating and awarding the scholarships is rigorous.
MICA offers Prof. Bikram Bindra "Equity Scholarship" and other merit and Merit cum Means scholarships. The students from PGP-1 will be eligible to apply. The Criterion for Scholarship selection is based on the Family Income not exceeding Rs. 10 lakhs per annum. Student’s academic performance should be minimum CGPA of 3.00 and class attendance record of minimum 80% in the first year for PGP-2 scholarship. Winning state/national/international level competitions will also add to eligibility.
The maximum number of scholarships to be awarded will be 25 to 27 (to PGP-1, PGP-2, and CCC), including the sponsored from Prof. Bikram Bindra for 1-2 student(s), where Prof. Bindra will provide Rs. 5 Lakhs to the student(s). The scholarship to be awarded for PGP-2 students will be up to 12. MICA will provide the scholarship up to 100% of the tuition fees per student in the programme. The number of scholarships to be awarded for PGP-1 will be up to 11 to 13. For CCC, the scholarsdhip will be awarded up to 2 students. MICA will provide up to 50% of the tuition fees per student in the programme.
Fellow Programme in Management
IIM Raipur does not charge any tuition fee, hostel fee, library fee, computer fee from FPM students pursuing the programme. Instead, IIM Raipur full time Research Scholars are provided financial assistance to all academic and other expenses.
Scholarship to the tune of Rs.35,000 is offered to FPM students in the 1st and 2nd year and Rs.40,000 in 3rd and 4th year of programme.

The fellow programme at IIM Raipur has been categorized into the following three phases: Phase I (Fundamentals of Management), Phase II (Specialization) and Phase III (Doctoral Dissertation). Research scholars will spend generally a little over four years that includes two years of rigorous course work.
The Course work in the first year provides a general management overview and develops basic skills for analysing managerial problems. In the second year, research scholars will take advanced doctoral level courses in the area of specialization; followed by the doctoral dissertation, for the next couple of years. IIM Trichy PhD programme has rigorous coursework focused on research training. The program is designed to help students complete their dissertation within a period of five years. In the first eighteen months, students are required to complete a coursework which exposes them to general management subjects, fundamental courses to gain an appreciation of management research, advanced courses in their respective areas of specialization and courses in research methodologies.
In total a student has to earn a minimum of 54 credits. Area specialization compulsory courses (Doctoral level) – 12 Credits, Area specialization elective courses (Doctoral level) – 9 credits, Research appreciation Courses (Doctoral level) – 6 credits, Methodology courses (Doctoral level) – 6 credits, General Management courses (PGPM level) – 15 credits.
In addition to the classroom courses, each student initiates a ‘Research Paper’ during the two-month summer break between Year 1 & Year 2 and continues to work on the paper during the second year for a total of 6 credits. Each student works with a designated research guide for this component of the coursework. A three credit course involves total classroom input of 30 hours. Each course involves assignments and submissions which students have to work upon beyond class hours.
To proceed further on their research journeys, students are required to clear their CQEs conducted by their respective areas of specialization. The CQE has three components – a written exam, viva voce and examination of the status of the 'Research Paper'. All students have to undergo the DPM level courses that will be offered in Year 1.
- Eligible Candidates are required to apply online. They can apply to a maximum of two areas of specialization.

- No application fee is applicable in the case of SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications to apply for IIMT’s Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programme in Management:
- Master’s Degree in any discipline securing at least 60 percent marks (or equivalent) or a two-year post-graduate diploma securing at least 60 percent marks (or equivalent), in addition to a Bachelor’s degree/equivalent with at least 60 percent (or equivalent) marks obtained after a minimum of three years of education. Five-year / four-year Integrated Master’s Degree Programme in any discipline, with at least 60 percent marks (or equivalent). A professional qualification like CA / ICWA / CS (with at least 50 percent aggregate marks) along with Bachelor’s degree (with at least 60 percent marks). A 4-year / 8-semester Bachelor’s degree with at least 60 percent marks (or equivalent)
- Candidates should have scores of one of the exams – GMAT/GRE (Last 5 Years), GATE (Last 3 Years), CAT (Last 1 Year), IIMB Test, NET-JRF, UGC-NET as per the interest area to which they are applying
- Candidates in their final year of qualifying exam can also apply
Candidates with a PGDM (full-time 2-year MBA program) from any of the IIMs or a PGPBM from IIM Tiruchirappalli will be exempted from having to take the eligibility tests (CAT / GRE / GMAT/ GATE/ UGC -JRF) provided the student has a CGPA greater than 2.6/4.33 or equivalent

The selection process at IIM Tiruchirappalli is multi-staged. All stages of this process are equally important for a potential candidate seeking admission into the program.
Stage 1: Submission of the application form.
