The Master of Business Administration (MBA) at IIM Sambalpur is a two-year full-time residential programme. The programme aims to groom the participants as global responsible leaders with a profound capacity to learn and adapt in a national and international business contexts; an orientation towards achieving excellence with maintaining high ethical standards; and a capacity to work efficiently and effectively both individually and in groups.

The two year MBA programme has rigorous and contemporary curriculum which is updated as per industry demand. The first year of the Programme provides the participants with a thorough grounding in the functional areas of Management. The first-year courses in the core curriculum are common to all participants. The summer internship towards the end of first year is an important building block of the programme. Integrated Programme in Management (IPM)
IIM Rohtak launched 5 Year IPM in 2019-20. The first batch is to pass out this year. Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) offered at IIM Rohtak is a dual degree BBA+MBA programme. IPM is for students after class XII who aim to pursue their career in Business Management. IPM students are automatically promoted to IIM Rohtak MBA program after completing 3 years of BBA program. IIM Rohtak also offers exit option after successful completion of 3 years with award of degree of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).
Upon successfully completing academic rigor of 5 years, the participant will be awarded Integrated Programme in Management (BBA+MBA) by IIM Rohtak. The student does not need to appear in CAT or any other MBA entrance exam after completing the 3 years of BBA. IPM admission is through online IIM Rohtak IPM Aptitude Test of 2 hours duration. Entire IPM programme is divided into two parts; the first part focuses on the foundation courses, whereas the second part focuses on the management. Students will be undergoing internships at the end of every academic year

To get admission to IIM Rohtak 5 year IPM, students will undergo a rigorous selection process as under:

The candidates accepting the offer of admission to IPM will be given confirmation letter.
The candidate is required to pay the First Year Programme Fee (as mentioned in the confirmation letter) and need to report to the institute campus for on campus registration as per the communicated schedule.
If the candidate registers for the programme, his/her OAA will be adjusted with the First Year Programme Fee.
On the day of reporting in the campus for registration, the admission team will do physical verification of the documents.

The allocation of hostel room to the candidate will be done on sharing basis. Hostel rooms for DAP category will be arranged on the ground floor.
The 5 year IPM curriculum at IIM Rohtak consists of 15 terms spread over a period of 5 years. One year has three terms, each of 3 months duration. The entire programme is divided into two parts; the first part focuses on the foundation courses, whereas the second part focuses on the management. Students will be undergoing internships at the end of every academic year. IPM curriculum has 4 core areas: Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, and Humanities. Other courses such as Business Communication, Management Information System, Business, and Foreign Languages are also offered. Courses offered at the PG level (4th and 5th Year) will be the same as per the PGP curriculum.
IPM Students will be taught by the faculty from IIM Rohtak, other reputed institutions in India and abroad, and industry experts. The teaching pedagogy will be a combination of lectures, case analysis, discussions, exercises and seminars, role plays, management games, project work, and computer-based learning methods.

Aggregate Percentage of Marks: The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in X and XII Standard would be calculated based on the aggregate marks of all subjects that appear in the mark sheet/grade sheet, irrespective of the Board’s regulation. In case the candidates are awarded letter grades or grades points instead of marks, the conversion of grades to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the Board/ Competent Authority explaining the method of conversion from where they have obtained the certificate.
Apply & Appear in IPMAT Exam: Students have to apply and appear in IPMAT exam conducted by IIM Rohtak for IPM Admission. Students have to clear the cut offs for shortlisting in IPMAT exam
Documents at the Time of IPM Registration: After getting provisional admission offer, such candidates must produce X and XII standard mark sheets (securing minimum marks i.e. 60% for General, EWS, and NC-OBC or 55% for SC, ST and PWD) at the time of registration for the IPM programme 2024 along with school leaving certificate/migration certificate, failing which the candidate’s admission offer stands cancelled.

IIM Rohtak has started a specialized program in “Sports Management” for experienced professionals, sports graduates, and sports enthusiasts. This program is for industrious participants interested in working in the sports, entertainment and related industries. While a graduate with 50% marks can apply for the programme, experience in the relevant field is an added advantage to pursue the programme but is not mandatory. On successful completion of the academic requirements of this 2 year programme, the students will be awarded “Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Management”. Admission/Selection Process for Candidates for MBA- Business Analytics at IIM Ranchi is through CAT. The selection of the candidates for admission to the MBA-BA at IIM Ranchi is a two-step process.
The Postgraduate programme in Business Analytics is full-time residential. It is divided into six terms, spread over two years. The programme’s first-year coursework of the postgraduate programme in business analytics will have several courses in common with the regular postgraduate management programme, along with core courses in analytics. The second year comprises specialised elective courses focussed on specific business analytics tools and domain applications, spread over three terms. The students must compulsorily complete a summer internship project in analytics applications in industry for eight weeks. Students who want to acquire a deeper understanding of any topic or explore a topic in depth can also pursue a course of independent study under the guidance of a faculty member.
A minimum of 18 credits have to be obtained in the 2nd Year from IS & BA Area, out of which at least 3 credits have to be obtained every term.
Register and apply for CAT exam by paying the requisite application fee for the exam. On the page 4 of CAT application form, you need to select IIM Ranchi MBA-BA and other programs and select the interview city. Your application for IIM Ranchi admission is submitted. You do not need to apply and pay separately for IIM Ranchi Admission. After declaration of CAT exam result, you can check at IIM Ranchi as well as IIM CAP website whether you are shortlisted by entering your CAT registration ID and password
- IIM Ranchi Eligibility criteria for MBA-BA program require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration after class 12, with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- The graduation must be done in engineering/technology/architecture OR - science OR - computer application
- The candidate should appear in CAT exam and must score minimum prescribed sectional and overall score to be considered for shortlisting.
- Candidates appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply for Admission.

In the first step, candidates are short-listed for Common Admission Process (CAP) comprising Personal Interview (PI) from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme. Detailed Admission process is as below:
- The candidate must have appeared and scored the minimum required percentile in CAT. Candidates are short-listed for CAP round which is the common PI round for CAP participating IIMs.
- Candidates are shortlisted from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme
After the PI round, IIM Ranchi will award weightages to various parameters and admission offers are made by IIMU to successful candidates. - The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in CAT, performance in CAP round, academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements, work experience among others
- Admission offer letter would be sent to all successful candidates. Candidates, who are offered admission, need to confirm their acceptance by completing all the required formalities by the stipulated date.
