AIU Recognized PGDM as Equivalent to MBA

The PGDM IEV at XLRI is designed to develop various skills and knowledge in the students though its rich curriculum and pedagogy. XLRI IEV employs a dynamic, hands-on approach in which each day is different. Students should anticipate two to four 90-minute lessons per day, five days per week. Students also engage in group projects, career counselling meetings, industry practicums, and extracurricular activities throughout the week.

The curriculum is based on the regular PGDM curriculum for business management but has been contextualized for startups. The core courses will cover all aspects of business fundamentals needed to run a business, and electives will the students to focus on specific learning needs. A large part of the course is designed around experiential learning, where students get an opportunity to validate and internalize the learning by applying it in the real world.

XCEED, the incubation centre at XLRI, supports the development of early-stage startup companies led by XLRI students, alumni, and faculty. XLRI incubator offers a comprehensive set of resources and services designed to assist entrepreneurs in turning their ideas into successful businesses. The course enables students to grasp the latest in management theory, broadens perspectives and launches them into new avenues of problem solving. The PGDM GM program comprises of seven terms with duration of all terms ranges between 5 to 13 weeks depending on number of subjects in each term. Every term ends with an exam. The first 3 Terms are broadly focused on to build rudimentary management concepts across all disciplines. The 15 core courses offered during this time includes subjects from finance, economics, marketing, operations, strategy, business ethics and sustainable development. The remaining Terms of the program can be customized, allowing you to choose approximately 20 different electives that support your career and learning objectives. XLRI offers a rich and varied choice of 53 electives to choose from. The programme trains students to understand the problems of Rural India and address them in a better way. As such it is mandatory for students to spend a few days in the rural parts of India.

The PGDM BM Online course plan involves 714 hours of Scheduled Teaching Hours spread across core and elective courses. Total designed program content for the XLRI-XOL PGDM (BM) program is for 1240 hours consisting of Scheduled Teaching Hours, Flexible Interactive Sessions, Industry Interface and Career Development Initiatives and Tutorial delivered on need basis. According to AICTE norms, selected students are expected to invest additional 1160 hours as Indicative Self Learning Hours in the form of pre-readings, assignments & individual reflections, individual exercises, e-texts, self-assessment etc. across all courses depending on personal strengths and weaknesses.

The programme also provides an opportunity to concentrate in one or two of the functional areas (viz. Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Marketing, Production, Operations & Decision Sciences and Strategic Management). To fulfil the requirement of area(s) of concentration, a participant is required to successfully complete five electives (with highest scheduled teaching hours) offered from the concerned area. Participants also have the freedom to choose any of the offered electives that suit individual requirements without an area of concentration.
The XLRI-XOL PGDM (BM) program is delivered online with three one week campus immersion modules during term I at start, term III and term V.
 

IIM Kozhikode PGP LSM program is a unique offering, with the primary objective to prepare future managers by enabling them to acquire emotional, cultural, and creative intelligence. The programme is designed to integrate and equip participants to pursue careers in managerial roles in marketing, human resource management, media, social enterprise, hospitality, healthcare or in other people facing roles. 

The PGP-LSM is a two-year (six term) full time programme that provides in-depth coverage in terms of lessons from liberal studies and core management principles in the first year followed by advanced courses and electives in the second year. 

The programme also has a module on International and Rural immersion that the participants need to engage with in term IV (second year). Master’s thesis in term VI (second year) is another unique feature of the course. IIM Kozhikode will also provide assistance for internship and final placements. PGP-LSM at IIM Kozhikode is a completely residential program. Boarding and Lodging will be provided to all the students.

The 2 year full time PGP at IIM Kozhikode has six-terms spread over two years. The first-year courses (term I to III) are aimed at building the foundations of the PGP. All students are required to complete all the first-year courses successfully.  These courses are designed to provide the basic conceptual knowledge and analytical tools in different disciplines and functional areas of management.  the first-year curriculum also consists of courses that aim at inculcating a sense of ethical consciousness and social responsibility. The first-year core curriculum is compulsory. The list of various courses includes Organization and Market Economics, Organization Behaviour, Financial Accounting, Data Analysis, Business Communication, Marketing Management, Financial Markets and Instruments, Economic Environment, Accounting, Human Resources, Information system, Sustainability & Business.

Specializations in the areas of Marketing, HR, Operations, IT, Finance, Strategy are offered in the second year during term Iv to VI.

The Post Graduate Programme in Finance (PGP-Finance) at IIMK is a unique offering, which is benchmarked against similar global programs in terms of program content and coverage while providing the participants a firm grounding in the Indian context through means of immersive courses, interaction with industry leaders and on-site/ trading floor visits.

A post-graduation in finance is a globally recognized qualification focussed on financial theory & application, with an aim to equip young graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in the core finance, fintech, banking and financial services industry.

The curriculum is rigorous and relevant and encourages practical application. At the core, the PGP-BL program will have an academic instruction capsule that will provide young professionals with a condensed/intense dosage of domain knowledge in all the critical and essential aspects of business. 

A global immersion module combines an international business school experience as well as industry exposure in other countries. Program has a capstone module that includes a structured orientation to the key attributes of ethical and responsible business. The aim of the PGP-BL course design is to enable students to build on their prior knowledge and exposure, discover their inner Arjuna's, and develop them holistically as multi-dimensional future leaders. PGP-BL relies significantly on experiential learning and balancing insights from both practice and research. A module on 'The Practice of Holistic living' provides students the necessary space for reflection and discovery and encourage them to challenge status quo.

Live projects, structured as an extended but punctuated engagement, with a panel of partner firms is an integral feature of the program. This will facilitate action research, continued live engagement on managerial problems and help develop stakeholder management skills.
