MBA Full Time at PSGIM Coimbatore is a two year program affiliated to Anna University, approved by AICTE, New Delhi and also is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). This 2 year full time program equips students navigate the business world and prepare them to be industry ready managers and leaders. Throughout the MBA course, emphasis is placed on holistic development of the students in order to prepare them to tackle complex business challenges and opportunities. 

In the First Year students learn basics of management, finance, and research methods and in Second Year students choose a specialization in a specific area of interest. Specialization is offered  in the areas of Finance, Human Resource, Marketing and Decision Science & Analytics. Students can choose 8 elective course  from 67 available electives from disciplines of Finance, Human Resource, Marketing and Decision Science & Analytics. Specialization in one elective, dual electives or a combination of multiple disciplines of interest is possible.

PSGIM has shifted the focus of management program from mere conceptual learning to skill development. The faculty members are practice oriented, adopt interdisciplinary approach towards teaching management courses. Besides, PSGIM has ensured greater collaboration between industry and academia with regard to curriculum design, delivery and research.

IBS Jaipur MBA program comprises 31 courses (of which 23 are compulsory and 8 are electives) and an intensive Summer Internship Program for 12 weeks. These courses are spread over four semesters. The students can pursue elective courses in the streams of Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Operations and Information Technology and Systems. Each student must choose elective courses equivalent to 24 credit units. To specialize in a particular stream (Finance/Marketing/HR/Operations/IT and Systems), the students are required to choose 15 credit equivalent elective courses.

LIBA has regularly remapped it PGDM curriculum reflecting the changing corporate needs. There are cutting edge - Dual specialisations with six options (including Business Analytics in association with TCS).

Students will have to choose six subjects (or electives) from one or more of the following areas of specialization: Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations Management, Systems, and Business Analytics. Students also have the option to submit a Master’s-level dissertation in a chosen area of specialization, in place of an elective, as a part of the requirement of the Programme, normally in the last term of the second year.  

In LIBA, students do not write exams. There are no mid-term or end term exams. Instead, there is a Formative Assessment in which every session ends with an assessment of learning. At the end of term, there is Summative Assessment in which each student is asked to satisfy examiners with their knowledge of basic concepts and application of the concepts in real time situations. LIBA follows a pedagogic policy of “Singers must be tested on singing, and dancers must be tested on dancing ‘’. If a student’s core competence and skill is in oral communication, he or she is tested predominantly on oral tests. Similarly, every student can choose his/her way by which learning is demonstrated and assessed by examiners. Case study method forms the core of ecosystem of learning and assessment in LIBA.  

SSN School of Management Chennai MBA course curriculum consists of two years spread over four semesters. The first year provides for learning the foundation areas and professional core courses. The second year provides an opportunity for students to do a deep-dive in functional areas of interest by way of specialization and electives. SSN offers four specializations which are ever-green – marketing, finance, operations and human resources. The students are expected to specialize in two areas.

On a selective basis, some courses provide for interaction with practicing managers in the industry. This enables students to connect the dots with the concepts learned in the respective courses. Students do an 8 week internship after the first year in a company. This provides an opportunity to the student to get a real experience of the corporate world, experience the application of concepts and take up the study of a problem. 

The final semester has a three month project-internship which will require the student to carry out an in-depth study with a research orientation. Apart from these, many of the courses have a project component. The students are “industry ready” when they complete the program.

SDMIMD PGDM is 2 years full time MBA equivalent, AICTE approved and NBA Accredited, residential program. SDMIMD Mysore Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is the flagship management program offered by Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysore. The program has been recognized as equivalent to MBA by Association of Indian Universities. 

SDMIMD PGDM Program offers specializations in Marketing, Systems, Finance, Operations, or Human Resource Management. Students have the option of dual specialization.

All the courses in the first year are compulsory core courses. These courses equip the students with basic knowledge in various areas of management.  The courses in the second year emphasize the multifunctional and strategic dimensions in decision making, and include courses related to different functional areas as well general areas. In the second year, students can opt to specialize in the areas of Marketing, Systems, Finance, Operations, Human Resources Management along with additional modular specializations. Students have the option of single / dual specialization along with modular specialization in Microfinance or Business Analytics. Students can also decide to be a generalist and not specialize in any area and instead opt for courses from various streams to make up the required minimum credits. 

SDMIMD has built into its curriculum some unique courses and programs that distinguish it from other Institutes, such as Ethics and Values in Management, Yoga and Socially Relevant Project. In line with the movement to align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) announced by the UN, and the prominence being given to the Environmental-Social-Governance (ESG) dimensions, SDMIMD is offering a modular specialization and certification for students to study ESG-related courses in addition to their chosen PGDM specialization. SDMIMD has entered into a major 5-year tie up with TCS iON for academic enhancement. Entire batch of first year students is enrolled every year. 10 courses have been identified which are offered in the first year and early in the second year. TCS iON organizes supplementary lectures on practical relevance, conducts internship during the course program. A Joint certificate is issued by SDMIMD and TCS iON on completion of the orientation. SDMIMD has entered into a collaboration with Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) for setting up a joint Centre of excellence in Management Studies at SDMIMD campus. The Nodal Centre in Mysore - BCIC SDMIMD Centre for Excellence in Management focuses on holding corporate programs, training sessions, workshops and leadership conclaves with the support of the corporate executives of the member Institutions of BCIC.
