Admissions are now open for the 2-year, full-time International Master in Business (IMB) program at SDA Bocconi Asia Center for the 2026–28 batch.

SDA Bocconi accepts scores from the CAT, NMAT, GMAT, and GRE exams. Additionally, candidates who have not taken these exams can opt for the Bocconi Test, conducted by SDA Bocconi Asia Center for MBA admission.

Admission Criteria
For the 2026 intake, SDA Bocconi follows a holistic admission process. The overall profile of the candidate is evaluated, which includes:

  • Academic consistency

  • Extracurricular achievements
  • Personal interview performance

There is no fixed CAT cutoff. Candidates with scores around the preferred or safe range, combined with a strong overall profile, may be shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) round.

SDA Bocconi Asia Center Admission Process: 5 Key Steps

Online Application Form: Fill out the online application and pay the application fee of INR 3,500.

Submit Test Scores and Documents: Upload a valid score from CAT, GMAT, GRE, NMAT, or Bocconi Test. Also submit your CV, academic transcripts, and essays.

Schedule the Bocconi Test (if applicable): Candidates without other test scores must take the Bocconi Test.

Preparatory Courses (June – September 2026)
The SDA Bocconi Asia Center International Master in Business program begins with preparatory courses focused on essential skills such as data visualization, creativity, market research, and complex problem-solving. Core courses then introduce foundational topics including data analysis, competitive analysis, business strategy, and business communication.

TERM 1 (September – December 2026)
In Term 1 of SDA Bocconi Asia Center International Master in Business program, students expand their business knowledge through subjects like financial reporting, marketing, project management, advanced data analytics, organizational behavior, and information systems, alongside a focus on sales and consumer behavior.

TERM 2 (January – March 2027)
This term strengthens strategic, financial, and technological competencies with courses in corporate finance, AI and machine learning for business, human resource management, operations strategy, digital marketing, corporate strategy, and entrepreneurship.

TERM 3 (June – August 2027)
The second year opens with a focus on economics, banking, communication, negotiation, and organizational behavior. Students also begin customizing their learning path through electives.

TERM 4 (September – December 2027)

The doctoral program at IIM Amritsar is 4 years full time PhD programme. The programme is aimed at producing high quality researchers and effective management teachers. IIM Amritsar provides limited financial assistance to its doctoral students including monthly fellowship, annual contingency grant, and research grant to attend conferences / workshops. Following financial assistance and scholarships are offered to PhD scholars: 

A consolidated doctoral fellowship amount of Rs 40,000 per month during the first and second years of the program.
A consolidated doctoral fellowship amount of Rs 45,000  per month after successful completion of the comprehensive examination, i.e., starting from the third year to the end of the fourth year or till the submission of the thesis, whichever is earlier.
A one-time computer purchase grant of Rs. 50,000 at the end of the course work, i.e. after the successful completion of a comprehensive examination.
Rs. 25,000 per year (for four years) as contingency grant to cover expenses related to attending conferences, workshops, purchase of books, and relevant research activities on a reimbursement basis 
Rs.1,75,000/- (upper limit) for attending international conferences/workshops during their entire tenure

Curriculum

IIM Amritsar program structure includes compulsory course work, comprehensive examination, thesis proposal, and doctoral level research (including thesis work). During the first two years of the program, as part of the compulsory coursework, doctoral students study foundation level and doctoral level courses, including research methodology courses. After completing the second-year course work, doctoral students take the comprehensive examination. The comprehensive examination tests whether the doctoral student has obtained the satisfactory knowledge in respective field of specialization (including research methodology). It may consist of written and oral examination. After successful completion of the mandatory course work and comprehensive examination, doctoral students undertake their research work, supervised by a thesis advisory committee.

IIM Amritsar Executive MBA (EMBA) is a 2 years Hybrid programme offered in Online and class room mode. EMBA is a non residential programme. Admission/Selection Process for Candidates for EMBA program at IIM Amritsar is through CAT, GMAT, GRE and IAAT Exam followed by PI round. The selection of the candidates for admission to the EMBA at IIM Amritsar is a three step process- Application submission, Taking Entrance Exam and participation in PI round

In the first step, candidates’ applications are screened as per the IIM Amritsar admission policy. In the second step they are considered on entrance exams and candidates who are eligible, have a valid exam score, who have applied to the programme should participate in PI round. IIM Amritsar prepares merit list for final admission as per its final selection criteria.  Detailed Admission process is as below:

  • The candidate must have applied for the programme by the last date
  • Candidates must have appeared in CAT, GMAT, GRE, IIM Amritsar Admission Test (IAAT) for applicable acceptable years and scored the minimum required score. Candidates are short-listed for PI round conducted by IIM Amritsar. EMBA is a 2-year program in non-residential hybrid mode with two on-campus visits of 5 days per year. The Stay and Food expenses are borne by IIM Amritsar.

The multidisciplinary curriculum of BITSoM MBA program addresses the needs of an evolving business landscape and offer students an immersive, engaging, and holistic experience. MICA Ahmedabad Scholarships, leading to partial or full fee waiver are offered to the students. MICA Scholarships are Merit Based and Need Based which are offered to students in 1st and 2nd year of the MBA courses to support them to pursue the management program with reduced financial burden. MICA Scholarships are awarded annually based on the student's overall academic performance and family income.  The scholarships are awarded to the students who are currently pursuing studies at MICA. The process of evaluating and awarding the scholarships is rigorous.

MICA offers Prof. Bikram Bindra "Equity Scholarship" and other merit and Merit cum Means scholarships. The students from PGP-1 will be eligible to apply. The Criterion for Scholarship selection is based on the Family Income not exceeding Rs. 10 lakhs per annum. Student’s academic performance should be minimum CGPA of 3.00  and class attendance record of minimum 80% in the first year for PGP-2 scholarship. Winning state/national/international level competitions will also add to eligibility.

The maximum number of scholarships to be awarded will be 25 to 27 (to PGP-1, PGP-2, and CCC), including the sponsored from Prof. Bikram Bindra for 1-2 student(s), where Prof. Bindra will provide Rs. 5 Lakhs to the student(s). The scholarship to be awarded for PGP-2 students will be up to 12. MICA will provide the scholarship up to 100% of the tuition fees per student in the programme. The number of scholarships to be awarded for PGP-1 will be up to 11 to 13. For CCC, the scholarsdhip will be awarded up to 2 students. MICA will provide up to 50% of the tuition fees per student in the programme.

Step by Step K J Somaiya Institute of Management Admission Process is detailed below:
Step-1: K J Somaiya Institute of Management Shortlisting Criteria: K J Somaiya will shortlist candidates based on entrance exam scores accepted for admission namely CAT 2024, XAT 2025, GMAT, NMAT 2024, and CMAT 2025. For NMAT, the scores of only the student's first attempt will be considered. For GMAT, scores from 1st January 2022 to 20th January 2025 will be considered valid. Applicants may submit more than one entrance test score. K J Somaiya will consider the best test score for shortlisting.

Step-2: K J Somaiya Institute of Management - MBA Admission Final Selection: The final admission round at K J Somaiya will consist of WAT and GD-PI. The Written Ability Test (WAT) at KJ Somaiya Institute of Management is a key part of the admission process. In this test, students are given a specific topic to write about, allowing them to showcase their writing skills, critical thinking, clarity of thought, and ability to articulate ideas effectively. GD PI process will be conducted across different cities across India. It will consist of Group discussion and a personal in-depth interview.

After the final admission round KJSIM will award weightage to Entrance exam scores; Academics; Work Experience; Written ability test; Group Discussion and Personal Interviews; and Other Achievements like sports & other extracurricular activities. Candidates will be offered the programme based on their results, preference, and the availability of seats.

Profile-Based Admission: K J Somaiya also offers profile-based admission for its MBA Healthcare Management and MBA Sports Management programme. For the profile-based admission process, the aspirant needs to appear for any one of the qualifying entrance exams (i.e. either CAT / XAT/GMAT/ NMAT/CMAT). For MBA-Sports Management qualifying scores of CAT/ XAT/GMAT/ NMAT/CMAT /ATMA/MAT/PERA CET/CUET will be accepted.

Curriculum

The two-year, full-time MBA programme at K J Somaiya Institute of Management allows students the unique opportunity to pursue both a major and a minor. From the second year onwards, Students are required to opt for one of the majors and one of the minor specializations. The major specialization needs to be opted for before the 4th trimester, while the minor specialization needs to be opted for before the 5th trimester.

K J Somaiya Institute of Management offers students a unique opportunity to build on business fundamentals by opting for Majors and Minors. In the first year, the courses offered will strengthen the foundation i.e., business fundamentals. In the second year, the students will have the option to choose one of the 5 Majors. Shortlisting of candidates for the selection process will be done on the basis of the details provided in the application form and their CAT 2025/ XAT 2026/ Valid GMAT. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the selection process at a center in one of the following cities: Bangalore, Gurugram, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai. Centers other than Kolkata and Gurugram are tentative. The selection process may also be conducted online, for which the intimation will be given to the short-listed candidates in advance.

Foreign / OCI/ PIO/ Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries applicants can be considered for admission on the basis of their valid GMAT scores. Curriculum

MDI Murshidabad PGDM curriculum has been designed to enrich student’s skills and abilities in order to enable them in applying management theories and concepts in live problems existing in business and industry. The programme enables students to identify and diagnose complex problems in management through hands on learning experiences. It includes lectures, case studies, seminars, assignments, live projects, group discussions, business games, outbound based experiential learning activities, educational excursions, role plays, simulation exercises, structured and unstructured group work, and field visits. Consistent with state-of-art technology, the programme integrates the use of computers (IT) in the learning process. The students undertake several field based projects (live projects) so that they can get better insights into real life situation. These all will inevitably assist students to achieve high standards of excellence.

MDI Murshidabad PGDM Programme Structure

Core Courses
The PGDM course curriculum is spread across six terms with the bulk covered in the first three terms. These core courses will enhance the ability to communicate, analyse situations and make decisions by adopting quantitative and qualitative techniques. It even helps them to develop a holistic view of the different functional areas and the business environment. During this period, it is mandatory to opt for courses in general management and major functional areas, such as Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Operations Management, Information Management and Business Analytics, Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management and Strategic Management and International Business. They get exposure to the basic disciplines of Economics, Behavioural Sciences, Managerial Communication, Business Law, Quantitative Methods and Decision Sciences.

Summer Internship
At the end of the first three terms, students are required to undertake an industry internship or summer training to work on a project / life problem an organization. The internship usually spans over a period of eight weeks. This is a compulsory component of the curriculum for the completion of the academic requirements. It is designed to provide exposure to organizational work setting, develop an understanding of business realities, learn how to apply theory in real life business situations and find its relevance.

Dissertation
The dissertation will be allocated 1.5 credits in Term-IV under the Internship/Fieldwork category. Students will be required to submit their completed dissertation reports by the conclusion of Term-V.
This research-intensive project allows students to engage deeply with their chosen topic, bridging academic learning with practical, real-world application. It fosters essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and academic writing, and preparing students for future professional endeavours.

Specializations
In the second year, the student opts for elective/ optional courses to specialize in a maximum of two functional areas.

These areas of specialization may deal with any of the following:

  • Accounting and Finance
  • Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management
  • Marketing
  • Operations Management
  • Information Management and Business Analytics
  • Strategic Management and International Business

All elective Courses, however, may not be offered, as this would be determined by the number of students showing interest in aforementioned area of specializations. Details about the electives are made available to students when they join MDIM. To specialize in an area, a student must opt for a minimum of five elective courses offered in that area that assigns a weightage of 15 credits and three each for a course. Students will be allowed to opt in a range of 14 to 17 electives. However, CGPA would be decided based on the best 14 electives out of total electives where students have scored relatively better.

MDI Murshidabad aims to offer new electives in line with latest demands of the students and corporate like Econometrics and many more expected to appear in the forthcoming academic session that will meet corporate requirements.
