PhD in Management
Full-time Ph.D scholars at IIM Sambalpur are exempted from tuition/programme fee. IIM Sambalpur provides a comprehensive fellowship that covers all academic expenses including tuition, computer, library, medical insurance, placement, and alumni fees. PhD in Management
IIM Sambalpur Executive Ph.D. Programme is a unique doctoral programme (Ph.D.) in management designed specifically for working professionals with a minimum of five years of full-time work experience. The Programme intends to provide industry professionals an opportunity to build career in academia.
IIM Sambalpur Executive PhD programme in Management has a duration four years with facility of extension upto two more years. The Executive PhD will be a part time programme. The student will be expected to complete the programme in four years, including a maximum of two years of course work. Under special circumstances, extension may be granted to the student. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the final stage of the selection process – the Individual Assessment Individual Assessment Process (Personal Interview) will be held in January/ February 2026(tentative). Past academic records, performance in the individual assessment process along with other qualitative parameters, like quality of work experience and extra-curricular activities constitute the core components of the selection process. The IMI Kolkata Admissions Committee reserves the right to modify these components while communicating these to the applicants at the Individual Assessment stage. The overall objective will be to identify and assess the candidate’s potential for a managerial career.
Personal Interview
The last stage of the procedure is the Personal Interview round in which students are evaluated based on their knowledge of current events, oral communication skills, domain knowledge of their degree, and work experience (if any). This is an extensive session with a panel that includes representatives of the faculty, business houses, and alumni. Students are also assigned a topic for the extempore round, which assesses their ability to think on their feet.
Applicants should note that mere fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria may not ensure consideration for shortlisting by IMI Kolkata. IMI Kolkata will not entertain any correspondence on this subject and decisions of the IMI Kolkata Admissions Committee will be final in all matters.

All students whose total family income is less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum shall be eligible for Scholarship under Economically Weaker Section. IIM Bodh Gaya started five years integrated programme in management (IPM) from academic session 2021. The programme is meant for students who have passed class 12 and wish to pursue MBA from the best B-schools. The 5 Year IPM Program at IIM Bodh Gaya is divided into BBA + MBA degree programmes. The first three years of the IIM Bodh Gaya IPM program would be based on a semester system, and the last two years would be based on the trimester system as per the prevailing MBA course structure. At the end of 2nd year, students will have to undergo a compulsory Rural and Social Immersion internship.
