Scholarship
A candidate, selected for the full time Ph.D. Programme, at SJMSoM IIT Bombay will be eligible for the financial support. The assistantship is payable for a maximum duration of 5 years or up to the thesis submission, whichever is earlier.
No programme fee is charged from the full time PhD candidates. They will be offered hostel accommodation at the campus
The monthly rate of Teaching Assistantship is Rs. 31,000/ for the first 2 years and enhanced rate of Rs. 35,000/ for the remaining period.
For Research Associates, the monthly rate of assistantship is Rs. 35,000/ for the first 2 years and enhanced rate of Rs. 39,000/ for the remaining period.

Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA)
IIT Bombay offers 18 Months Executive MBA. It is a first of its kind joint degree executive MBA program offered by IIT Bombay and Washington University in St. Louis. The EMBA program is a part time programme. The IIT Bombay executive MBA programme duration of 18 months is split into 4 days a month from Thursday to Sunday. The participants complete 17 modules in Mumbai and spend two weeks at Washington D.C. and St. Louis to complete their balance course work and visit American companies. Each participant upon satisfactory completion of the executive MBA program is awarded a joint postgraduate degree in Business Administration from IIT Bombay and Washington University in St. Louis.

The curriculum of 18 months Executive MBA programme offered jointly by SJMSoM IIT Bombay and Washington University in St Louis mirrors the content and structure of Washington University’s internationally recognized sister programs in the U.S. and China. Many of the same faculty members teach the courses.
The classroom modules are held over four days every month, from Thursday morning to Sunday Evening at the IIT Bombay classrooms. Every EMBA participant must record 600 contact hours to get programme graduation. The classes are conducted in English and include Indian and US management perspectives. Two of the 18 programme modules are taught at Olin Business School’s Charles F.Knight Executive Education & Conference Center on the Washington University campus in St. Louis.
The EMBA course curriculum is split between core and advanced functional modules. The SJMSOM IIT Bombay Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme intends to achieve an optimum balance of Knowledge building, Perspective giving and Skill building courses. A mix of diverse teaching methods like case study, lecture and discussion, simulation games, collaborative and experiential learning is adapted to provide a holistic learning experience and a complete learning cycle.
The Two-year MBA programme is organized into eight terms. In the first year (first four terms), students gain knowledge on all the disciplines of management through 23 rigorous courses. Students have the option of doing a 1-month winter project at the end of first 2 terms.
The rigor of the academics in the first year culminates in the Summer Project at the end of the first year of the program.
