IIT Bombay offers 18 Months Executive MBA. It is a first of its kind joint degree executive MBA  program offered by IIT Bombay and Washington University in St. Louis. The EMBA program is a part time programme. The IIT Bombay executive MBA programme duration of 18 months is split into 4 days a month from Thursday to Sunday. The participants complete 17 modules in Mumbai and spend two weeks at Washington D.C. and St. Louis to complete their balance course work and visit American companies. Each participant upon satisfactory completion of the executive MBA program is awarded a joint postgraduate degree in Business Administration from IIT Bombay and Washington University in St. Louis.

Curriculum

The curriculum of 18 months Executive MBA programme offered jointly by SJMSoM IIT Bombay and Washington University in St Louis mirrors the content and structure of Washington University’s internationally recognized sister programs in the U.S. and China. Many of the same faculty members teach the courses. 

The classroom modules are held over four days every month, from Thursday morning to Sunday Evening at the IIT Bombay classrooms. Every EMBA participant must record 600 contact hours to get programme graduation. The classes are conducted in English and include Indian and US management perspectives. Two of the 18 programme modules are taught at Olin Business School’s Charles F.Knight Executive Education & Conference Center on the Washington University campus in St. Louis.

The EMBA course curriculum is split between core and advanced functional modules. These allow for refreshers in functional fundamentals, multi-modular or cross functional training, strategic and leadership courses, people management and business communication up skilling, all delivered through a right blend of classroom learning, case analysis, brief papers on specific topics and more significant long-term papers. Participant evaluation is a function of individual and team.
During the two week stay at Washington DC & St.Louis, the candidates will have one to one Executive Coaching session, Industry visits in St. Louis Global Tycoon Championship and will also have opportunity to study with EMBA St Louis or China Cohorts.

Post Shostlisting of candidates, Jansons School of Business Coimbatore final selection process for MBA program has following steps:

Step 1 – Group Discussion: Shortlisted candidates will receive an email/ phone or GD/PI schedule by Post about the date and time of Group Discussion. GD round comprises a group of 8-10 candidates who will participate in Group Discussion process. Clarity of opinion/views will add to the performance in GD round. The GD round evaluates individual strengths, weaknesses, inclinations, and abilities to determine their suitability for business studies and future careers. 

Step 2 – Personal Interview (PI): Each candidate undergoes a Personal Interview to assess their alignment with Jansons School of Business values. The PI panel comprises 2-3 experts drawn from faculty, industry professionals, alumni. Interviews last 15-30 minutes. 

Step-3 - Final Selection Weightages: Final selection of the candidate is based on MBA entrance test score with 50% weight, Academics with 25% weightage, Personal Interview with 25% weightage.

LBSIM Delhi PGDM E-Business Admission Step by Step Process is given below:

Step-1: Application submission for Eligible Entrance Exams. LBSIM will accept CAT, XAT and GMAT (last four years) score for admission to all its PGDM programmes. You first need to apply and appear in at least one of the above entrance exams and score well to clear the prescribed LBSIM Delhi cut offs  

Step-2: Apply Online or Offline separately for LBSIM Admission with requisite application fees of Rs.2000/-  

Step-3: Check LBSIM Delhi Shortlist. Candidates are short-listed based on valid CAT/XAT/GMAT scores, prior academic performance, work experience, and other information disclosed in the Application form

Step-4: Participate in Final Selection GD-PI-WAT. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion, Extempore/Written Analysis Test and Personal Interview which is held in different cities.

Curriculum

The Two-Year Full-Time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (E-Business) programme consists of six trimesters. The course framework of the programme has been designed to ensure that PGDM (E-Business) management graduates at LBSIM gain a balanced mix of strategic thinking, tactical implementation, specialised knowledge, and general management abilities. The focus in the first year is largely on fundamental courses, that provide a foundation of conceptual and analytical abilities necessary for pursuing a specialised course in E-Business. These fundamental courses enable students to have a holistic understanding of business environment and help students improve creative thinking, effective communication skills, and teamwork. During the first year, students study a total of 21 (twenty-one) courses in the areas of Economics, Human Resources, Quantitative Techniques, Accounting and Finance and Information Technology.

PGDM Student connect programme is offered before the commencement of regular classes to help incoming candidates cope with the rigours of PGDM Programme by offering courses that bridge the knowledge gap between the undergraduate degree (in different domains) & PGDM Curriculum.

In the second year, students are required to opt for 6 (six) elective subjects in addition to 11 (eleven) core subjects. This enables them to pursue an in- depth learning in the specialised area of E-Business. Participants are also required to complete online certifications which carry credits.

Each student is required to undertake summer internship in a company of repute for the duration of 8-10 weeks as part of the course curriculum after the third trimester examination. Application process for admission at IIM Shillong opens with the start of CAT  registration process. Candidates have to apply for CAT by the last date. At this stage, there is no need to apply and pay separately for IIM Shillong Admission. After release of CAT exam result, IIM Shillong separately opens its registration and application window. You can register by the stipulated date 

Admission/Selection Process for Candidates for PGP (MBA) at IIM Shillong is through CAT. The selection of the candidates for admission to the PGP at IIM Shillong is a two-step process.

Curriculum

IIM Shillong PGP curriculum make you dive into a challenging, rigorous and holistic program that chisels you in time-tested management principles as well as current best practices. You also get the exposure to evolve next generation practices through active interaction with industry on a continuous basis. The PGP program blends core courses and elective courses spread over six terms in two years with a two -month internship at the end of year one. 

Choice of specialization is offered in second year. You can choose the subject of your choice with a Course of independent Study. A general management perspective with the Capstone courses is offered to enable you to lead an economically and ecologically sustainable world.

To further enrich the experience of the participants, the curriculum is supplemented by visits to foreign universities with a view to enabling understanding of business management from different cultural perspectives. Visits to industries in those countries are also a part of the Programme. The International Immersion is optional module.

The evolving, interdisciplinary curriculum at IIM Shillong is delivered in a collaborative learning setting to offer a holistic development towards active experiential learning and participant oriented case methodology. Students will engage with the industry and academia as well as the local community as facilitators and catalysts of change.
