Sustainability Management

The curriculum of 18 months Executive MBA programme offered jointly by SJMSoM IIT Bombay and Washington University in St Louis mirrors the content and structure of Washington University’s internationally recognized sister programs in the U.S. and China. Many of the same faculty members teach the courses. 

The classroom modules are held over four days every month, from Thursday morning to Sunday Evening at the IIT Bombay classrooms. Every EMBA participant must record 600 contact hours to get programme graduation. The classes are conducted in English and include Indian and US management perspectives. Two of the 18 programme modules are taught at Olin Business School’s Charles F.Knight Executive Education & Conference Center on the Washington University campus in St. Louis.

The EMBA course curriculum is split between core and advanced functional modules. These allow for refreshers in functional fundamentals, multi-modular or cross functional training, strategic and leadership courses, people management and business communication up skilling, all delivered through a right blend of classroom learning, case analysis, brief papers on specific topics and more significant long-term papers. Participant evaluation is a function of individual and team.
During the two week stay at Washington DC & St.Louis, the candidates will have one to one Executive Coaching session, Industry visits in St. Louis Global Tycoon Championship and will also have opportunity to study with EMBA St Louis or China Cohorts.

TISS MA ODCL program curriculum is spread over 2 years. TISS MA ODCL programme transforms students, both personally and professionally. Students gain a deeper understanding of themselves and behavioural sciences, organisation strategy, operations and the interplay of systems and people processes. The learning methods in the programme include lectures, case discussions, simulations, role-plays, fieldwork, internships, service learning, and facilitated human interaction processes. In this manner, students better understand their challenges and those of organisations in various contexts involving change. One of the differentiators of this program is the opportunity for students to immerse in a real-world consulting project that intends to take them through a complete OD cycle.

TISS MA HRM and LR program curriculum is spread over 2 years. Master of Arts Human Resource Management & Labour Relations (HRM & LR) programme at TISS Mumbai places importance on both theoretical and hands-on learning. While classroom learning through participation in the forms of discussions and case studies, presentations, simulation games, assignments, etc., emphasises conceptual clarity, practical inputs are provided through the rigorous fieldwork system, which complements the classroom inputs by throwing light on the practical dimension of the profession.

The Two-Year Full-Time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (E-Business) programme consists of six trimesters. The course framework of the programme has been designed to ensure that PGDM (E-Business) management graduates at LBSIM gain a balanced mix of strategic thinking, tactical implementation, specialised knowledge, and general management abilities. The focus in the first year is largely on fundamental courses, that provide a foundation of conceptual and analytical abilities necessary for pursuing a specialised course in E-Business. These fundamental courses enable students to have a holistic understanding of business environment and help students improve creative thinking, effective communication skills, and teamwork. During the first year, students study a total of 21 (twenty-one) courses in the areas of Economics, Human Resources, Quantitative Techniques, Accounting and Finance and Information Technology.

PGDM Student connect programme is offered before the commencement of regular classes to help incoming candidates cope with the rigours of PGDM Programme by offering courses that bridge the knowledge gap between the undergraduate degree (in different domains) & PGDM Curriculum.

In the second year, students are required to opt for 6 (six) elective subjects in addition to 11 (eleven) core subjects. This enables them to pursue an in- depth learning in the specialised area of E-Business. Participants are also required to complete online certifications which carry credits.

Each student is required to undertake summer internship in a company of repute for the duration of 8-10 weeks as part of the course curriculum after the third trimester examination. In its PGDM E-Commerce Programme, LBSIM offers choice of specializations from the areas of  Project Management, Entrepreneurship, Sustainability and CSR, Leadership among others.
