Eligible and Qualified students are shortlisted by SCMS Cochin for GD-PI round. SCMS Cochin School of Business Selection process comprises following components: 
Candidates need to appear in acceptable Entrance exam and have to apply for SCMS Cochin Admission. 

  • SCMS Cochin will shortlist the candidates as per its shortlisting criteria. Candidates will be shortlisted based on Entrance exam score, academics and other parameters as detailed in shortlisting process
  • The shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a Group Discussion and Personal Interview for admission 2025. The original documents will be verified on the date of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

LIBA Chennai Admission Process is designed keeping in mind the above requirements. Here are the key Steps of LIBA Chennai Admission Process: 

Step-1: Apply and Appear in one of the Entrance Exams CAT and XAT 

Step-2: LIBA Chennai Shortlists candidates Final Selection GD-PI round based on entrance exam score, Academic profile, Diversity, Extra Curricular and others. In case both CAT and XAT exams are taken by the applicant, LIBA will short-list the candidates for the interview, based on their best available test scores 

Step-3: After the GD-PI round, admission offers are made by LIBA to successful candidates. The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in entrance exam, performance in PI round, academics, Quality of Work Experience among others. Performance in Personal Interview (PI) will be awarded high weightage in final selection criteria. The evaluation criteria in final selection will also look into the academic year arrears. As per the admission policy LIBA does not admit candidates with a history of more than 2 arrears. 

Curriculum

LIBA has regularly remapped it PGDM curriculum reflecting the changing corporate needs. There are cutting edge - Dual specialisations with six options (including Business Analytics in association with TCS).

Students will have to choose six subjects (or electives) from one or more of the following areas of specialization: Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations Management, Systems, and Business Analytics. Students also have the option to submit a Master’s-level dissertation in a chosen area of specialization, in place of an elective, as a part of the requirement of the Programme, normally in the last term of the second year.  

In LIBA, students do not write exams. There are no mid-term or end term exams. Instead, there is a Formative Assessment in which every session ends with an assessment of learning. At the end of term, there is Summative Assessment in which each student is asked to satisfy examiners with their knowledge of basic concepts and application of the concepts in real time situations. LIBA follows a pedagogic policy of “Singers must be tested on singing, and dancers must be tested on dancing ‘’. If a student’s core competence and skill is in oral communication, he or she is tested predominantly on oral tests. Similarly, every student can choose his/her way by which learning is demonstrated and assessed by examiners. Case study method forms the core of ecosystem of learning and assessment in LIBA.

All applicants for LIBA PGDM 2025-27 batch should possess following eligibility criteria:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline under regular mode only from a recognized institution (AIU)
  • The candidate should have a consistent academic record of the first class (minimum 60% marks) in STD X, STD XII & graduation.
  • The candidates who have cleared all the subjects in their first attempt will be preferred.
  • Candidates with a history of more than two arrears are NOT eligible to apply.
  • Taking CAT 2024 or XAT 2025 is a prerequisite to apply for LIBA's PGDM programme.
  • Candidates appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply for LIBA Admission

SSN School of Management Chennai MBA course curriculum consists of two years spread over four semesters. The first year provides for learning the foundation areas and professional core courses. The second year provides an opportunity for students to do a deep-dive in functional areas of interest by way of specialization and electives. SSN offers four specializations which are ever-green – marketing, finance, operations and human resources. The students are expected to specialize in two areas.

On a selective basis, some courses provide for interaction with practicing managers in the industry. This enables students to connect the dots with the concepts learned in the respective courses. The curriculum also includes Managerial Communications and Seminars which provide an opportunity for students to develop and strengthen the essential skills that play a major role in shaping careers advancements. All this is supplemented by guest lectures by eminent people from the industry which provides an opportunity to students to interact with thought leaders.

Some certificate courses are also offered outside the curriculum to enable students pick up contemporary skills. MBA programme at SSN provides two industry internships. Students do an 8 week internship after the first year in a company. This provides an opportunity to the student to get a real experience of the corporate world, experience the application of concepts and take up the study of a problem. 

The final semester has a three month project-internship which will require the student to carry out an in-depth study with a research orientation. Apart from these, many of the courses have a project component. The students are “industry ready” when they complete the program.

  • Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks with medium of instruction as English.
     
  • All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).  
    Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2025.
     
  • Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements (including practical examinations / viva / assignments) before May 31, 2025. The admission will remain provisional until they produce marks sheets and degree certificates establishing their eligibility. The last date for submission of proof of graduation is November 01, 2025.
