Dissertation
The dissertation will be allocated 1.5 credits in Term-IV under the Internship/Fieldwork category. Students will be required to submit their completed dissertation reports by the conclusion of Term-V.
This research-intensive project allows students to engage deeply with their chosen topic, bridging academic learning with practical, real-world application. It fosters essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and academic writing, and preparing students for future professional endeavours.
Specializations
In the second year, the student opts for elective/ optional courses to specialize in a maximum of two functional areas.
These areas of specialization may deal with any of the following:

- Strategic Management and International Business
All elective Courses, however, may not be offered, as this would be determined by the number of students showing interest in aforementioned area of specializations. - Candidates appearing for the final year of the bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination can also apply.
- Candidates must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a phone number throughout the selection process.
Candidates are required to take the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs or XAT conducted by XLRI, or should have a valid GMAT score (taken during last four years). - Foreign students, PIO and NRI sponsored candidates are also eligible and are required to take the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) at a test centre outside India.
- Indian residents who have appeared for GMAT will be required to furnish their GMAT scores while applying and should provide an attested copy of the GMAT score sheet to the Admission Office for verification at the time of personal interview.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion, Extempore/Written Analysis Test and Personal Interview which is held in different cities. After the GDPIWAT, Merit list of the selected candidates will be based on various parameters and shall be displayed on the Institute’s Notice Board and uploaded on the Institute’s website. Successful candidates will be intimated of their final selection by LBSIM Delhi. The result will also be uploaded on LBSIM’s website. Selected candidate should accept the admission offer and pay the requisite admission fees by the last date.
LBSIM Delhi offers various scholarships to the students in its PGDM programmes. Following Merit-cum-Means Scholarships shall be awarded by the Institute to meritorious students from Economically Weaker Sections:

The Director appoints a committee comprising of faculty members, admin staff member/s, and others to choose the students who will receive these scholarships.
