MDI Post Graduate Diploma in Management Human Resource Management (PGDM-HRM) is designed to develop holistic business managers. MDI PGDM HRM course is designed by faculty and industry members continuously to ensure a rich academia-industry blend. MDI Gurgaon PGDM HRM admission can be divided into following stages:
- The candidates seeking admission to MDI Gurgaon PGDM HRM programme must appear in CAT exam
Then, candidate should apply separately for MDI admission. MDI application process is open from Thursday, 25th September 2025, till Friday, November 28, 2025. - Shortlisting of candidates for the GDPI process will be done on the basis of the details provided in the application form and their CAT scores.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interviews.
- The final selection of the candidates will be based on weightages of CAT scores, WAT-GD-PI, Behavioral Assessment test, Academic merit, Academic diversity, Work experience as per weightages given in Table below.
MDI Gurgaon PGDM HRM programme is spread over six terms of three months each. The core courses are covered in first 4 terms. The programme has compulsory eight-to-ten weeks long internship after Term 3. During term 5 & 6, students can opt for electives from OB & HRM area and can also enrich their elective basket by opting for maximum two electives from other functional areas such as Marketing, Finance, or Strategy & General Management. About 20 percent of the course is taught by industry practitioners.
MDI Gurgaon PGDM HRM curriculum follows an interactive and participative pedagogy involving fieldwork, case studies, business games, role-plays, simulation exercises, group discussions, experiential exercises, film reviews, application of concepts and structured and unstructured group work, and hands-on projects with the industry.
MDI Gurgaon PGDM HRM student can study for one term in a partner foreign institution in lieu of his/her study term at MDI. A number of international scholarships are available for these students.

Step 1: Fill Personal Details
On the first page you should fill your name, father’s & mother’s name, email ID, Password, Country, Mobile number and submit at Sign up column. After completing the step 1, you will receive the confirmation message. You should now click on ‘Activate Your Account’. An OTP will be received by you on email and mobile, verify it and proceed to complete the remaining part of MDI registration process
Step 2: Complete CAT Registration & Personal Details
On the next page, you need to fill information on CAT registration number and personal details with address.
Step 3: Upload Photo & Signature
After completing your entrance exam details and personal details, now you should upload your photo and signature of required size as below.
Step 4: Fill Your Work Experience
The next step is to fill your work experience details. All the details should be correct else your candidature may be cancelled.
Step 5: Fill the Details of Extra Curricular Activities
On this page of MDI Application form, you need to fill the correct details of your extracurricular activities of inter-collegiate, institute and higher level of sports, cultural, literary and others
Step 6: Document Details
The required documents are to be uploaded on this page of requisite size like copy of Identification, Class 10, 12 and graduation marksheet/degree among others.
MDI Gurgaon application fees is Rs. 3,000, inclusive of 18% GST. Candidates can select all the MDI programmes they wish to apply for, and pay the fees online.

MDI Gurgaon PGDM HRM eligibility criteria for PGDM Admission have following key points:
- The candidate must hold a minimum 3 years’ bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
The applicant must have also scored a minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in class 10 and 12. - Candidates appearing for the final examination for the Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent examination) can also apply to the PGDM Program.
- Applicant should appear in CAT exam. MDI accepts only CAT exam scores for shortlisting candidates for GD PI WAT round.
MDI Gurgaon PGDM HRM final selection process is a multi-stage process.
- MDI Gurgaon shortlists candidates for the WAT-GD-PI process on the basis of the details provided in the application form and their CAT 2025 scores.
- Stage-I MDI shortlisting: MDI Gurgaon shortlists candidates for the WAT-GD-PI round based on multiple parameters, with the CAT score carrying the highest weightage of 70%. Academic performance in Class 10, 12, and Graduation collectively contributes 15%, while work experience (10%), academic diversity (2.5%), and gender diversity (2.5%) ensure a balanced and inclusive selection process.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion, Written Analysis Test, and Personal Interviews between February and April 2026 at a center in one of the following cities: Bengaluru, Gurugram, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.
- The final selection of the candidates will be based on weightages of CAT scores, WAT-GD-PI, Behavioral Assessment test, Academic merit, Academic diversity, Work experience, and social diversity etc as per weightages given in Table below.
- MDI Gurgaon PGDM HRM can avail of merit-cum-means scholarship scheme for the meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections. MDI provides 12 merit cum means scholarships (50% waiver of tuition fees) every year to the students pursuing two-year full time PGDM/PGDM-HRM/PGDM-IB/PGDM-Business Analytics.
- O.P. Jindal scholarship of INR 1,50,000 for second year students.
- At the end of the second year, MDI Gurgaon awards two merit scholarships of INR 10,000/- each to the top two students.
