NIA Pune shortlisting Criteria for Interview Process is based on entrance exam score and other parameters as below:
National Insurance Academy (NIA) Pune PGDM is AICTE approved 2 years full time MBA equivalent management course with rigorous curriculum focused on Insurance business. NIA PGDM program curriculum is divided into six trimesters spread across two years. The curriculum is divided in core courses and electives. The focus on insurance in the program offers key specialization areas in General Insurance, Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Property Insurance, Sustainability Management, Marketing, Finance, Entrepreneurship and Innovation among others.

NIA Pune eligibility criteria for PGDM Admission 2026 have following key points:
- The candidate must hold a minimum 3 years’ bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
- Candidates appearing for the final examination for the Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent examination) can also apply to the PGDM Program
- NIA Pune has prescribed upper age limit for applicants as on July 1, 2026. For General, EWS and NC-OBC category the candidates with maximum 28 years of age can apply. For SC/ST/DA category, the candidates with maximum 30 years of age can apply.
- Applicant should appear in one of the acceptable MBA entrance exams like CAT/XAT/CMAT
NIA Pune final selection round consists of Group Discussion and Personal Interview. All the shortlisted candidates must appear in GD-PI round. National Insurance Academy (NIA) Pune Scholarships: Overview
NIA Pune scholarships are offered to meritorious and economically weaker students. NIA gives 9 scholarships of Rs. 1 lac each to meritorious students, girl students, eligible students belonging to specified categories including students belonging to economically weaker sections. These scholarships are subject to prescribed NIA Pune Eligibility criteria including attendance, Academic Performance and good conduct.
