MBA HR programme is aimed at developing professionals who will be able to manage all functions and levels of businesses using their HR managerial knowledge and skills. The First Year of the program offers a 2-week compulsory preparatory program for students to enhance their readiness for the MBA HR program; an Orientation program to familiarize students to the IIM way of learning and acquaints them with the infrastructure, services, and student activities at IIM Amritsar. The first year courses are compulsory and provide basic conceptual knowledge and analytical tools in different functional areas of management. All students undergo eight to ten weeks of summer internship after first year of the program. On the page 4 of CAT application form, you need to select IIM Amritsar MBA Human Resources (MBA HR) and other programs and select the interview city. Your application for IIM Amritsar admission is submitted. At this stage, you do not need to apply and pay separately for IIM Amritsar Admission. After declaration of CAT exam result, you can check at IIM Amritsar website whether you are shortlisted by entering your CAT registration ID and password. You may need to register at IIM Amritsar website to reconfirm your interest for IIM Amritsar admission
- IIM Amritsar 2 years full time MBA Human Resources Management programme Eligibility criteria require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration after class 12, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- The candidate should appear in CAT exam and must score minimum prescribed sectional and overall score to be considered for shortlisting.
- Candidates appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply for Admission
- The candidate must have appeared and scored the minimum required percentile in CAT. Candidates are short-listed for PI round conducted by IIM Amritsar.
- Candidates are shortlisted from among the eligible candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and have their interest and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme
- After the PI round, IIM Amritsar will award weightages to various parameters and admission offers are made by IIM Amritsar to successful candidates.
- The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in CAT, performance in PI round, academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements, work experience among others
Admission offer letter would be sent to all successful candidates. Candidates, who are offered admission, need to confirm their acceptance by completing all the required formalities by the stipulated date
