EMBA is a 2-year program in non-residential hybrid mode with two on-campus visits of 5 days per year. The Stay and Food expenses are borne by IIM Amritsar. 
The EMBA program spans over 750 hours, where participants have the opportunity of closely interacting with IIM Amritsar faculty and the diverse pool of industry leaders. The program offers a curated set of core courses along with relevant electives to meet the individual aspirations of working professionals. At a time, when India needs a large number of business leaders to keep the momentum of economic growth, our EMBA program will catapult you to lead India’s growth story

The programme has Rigorous, cutting-edge curriculum vetted by industry professionals. The specializations will be floated based on the profile of the final candidates. The Virtual classes are offered over weekends (Fri-Sun) and some weekdays as required. Regular interactions are offered with industry experts and opportunity to network with professionals. On completion of programme participants will be awarded MBA degree and IIM Amritsar Alumni status. The programme also offers optional International Immersion Module for a week.

BIM follows a trimester pattern and provides a wide choice of elective subjects across specializations. New technology applications, SDG/ESG, and the art of design thinking are integrated with all the courses BIM offers.BIM provides a pre foundation program through Harvard Business Publishing before even the aspirants join the program. This helps them to make a quick start in the classroom instead of going through a discovery process. During the program, all participants get a chance to complete various certifications like CMT, BMC in finance; SalesForce Social Studio and text mining using KNIME in Marketing; Visualisation through Tableau/ Power BI; Languages like Python, R; Statistical Tools like SPSS, AMOS, Spreadsheet modelling, NVivo.

The multidisciplinary curriculum of BITSoM MBA program addresses the needs of an evolving business landscape and offer students an immersive, engaging, and holistic experience. In addition to core courses, all students take a module on ‘Winning at the Workplace’, designed to develop cognitive and behavioral capabilities as well as provide students with global and contextual perspectives with courses such as Ethics in Business, the Origin of Management in India, and Indian Philosophy and Leadership. The block teaching pedagogy at BITSoM enables focusing on two courses at a time, which helps to internalise learnings. Right from the inception, BITSoM ensured that its students did not miss the joy of having offline interactions with peers and work on projects in small groups at the hostel facility in Mumbai, while attending faculty sessions online. Many other institutes at that time were conducting online classes.

The two-year, full-time MBA programme at K J Somaiya Institute of Management allows students the unique opportunity to pursue both a major and a minor. From the second year onwards, Students are required to opt for one of the majors and one of the minor specializations. The major specialization needs to be opted for before the 4th trimester, while the minor specialization needs to be opted for before the 5th trimester.

K J Somaiya Institute of Management offers students a unique opportunity to build on business fundamentals by opting for Majors and Minors. In the first year, the courses offered will strengthen the foundation i.e., business fundamentals. In the second year, the students will have the option to choose one of the 5 Majors. MDI Murshidabad PGDM curriculum has been designed to enrich student’s skills and abilities in order to enable them in applying management theories and concepts in live problems existing in business and industry. The programme enables students to identify and diagnose complex problems in management through hands on learning experiences. It includes lectures, case studies, seminars, assignments, live projects, group discussions, business games, outbound based experiential learning activities, educational excursions, role plays, simulation exercises, structured and unstructured group work, and field visits. Consistent with state-of-art technology, the programme integrates the use of computers (IT) in the learning process. The students undertake several field based projects (live projects) so that they can get better insights into real life situation. These all will inevitably assist students to achieve high standards of excellence.

Core Courses
The PGDM course curriculum is spread across six terms with the bulk covered in the first three terms. These core courses will enhance the ability to communicate, analyse situations and make decisions by adopting quantitative and qualitative techniques. It even helps them to develop a holistic view of the different functional areas and the business environment. During this period, it is mandatory to opt for courses in general management and major functional areas, such as Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Operations Management, Information Management and Business Analytics, Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management and Strategic Management and International Business. They get exposure to the basic disciplines of Economics, Behavioural Sciences, Managerial Communication, Business Law, Quantitative Methods and Decision Sciences.

Summer Internship
At the end of the first three terms, students are required to undertake an industry internship or summer training to work on a project / life problem an organization. The internship usually spans over a period of eight weeks. This is a compulsory component of the curriculum for the completion of the academic requirements. It is designed to provide exposure to organizational work setting, develop an understanding of business realities, learn how to apply theory in real life business situations and find its relevance.

Dissertation
The dissertation will be allocated 1.5 credits in Term-IV under the Internship/Fieldwork category. Students will be required to submit their completed dissertation reports by the conclusion of Term-V.
This research-intensive project allows students to engage deeply with their chosen topic, bridging academic learning with practical, real-world application. It fosters essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and academic writing, and preparing students for future professional endeavours.

Specializations
In the second year, the student opts for elective/ optional courses to specialize in a maximum of two functional areas.

These areas of specialization may deal with any of the following:

• Accounting and Finance
• Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management
• Marketing
• Operations Management
• Information Management and Business Analytics
• Strategic Management and International Business

All elective Courses, however, may not be offered, as this would be determined by the number of students showing interest in aforementioned area of specializations. Details about the electives are made available to students when they join MDIM. To specialize in an area, a student must opt for a minimum of five elective courses offered in that area that assigns a weightage of 15 credits and three each for a course. Students will be allowed to opt in a range of 14 to 17 electives. However, CGPA would be decided based on the best 14 electives out of total electives where students have scored relatively better.

MDI Murshidabad aims to offer new electives in line with latest demands of the students and corporate like Econometrics and many more expected to appear in the forthcoming academic session that will meet corporate requirements.

MBA HR programme is aimed at developing professionals who will be able to manage all functions and levels of businesses using their HR managerial knowledge and skills. The First Year of the program offers a 2-week compulsory preparatory program for students to enhance their readiness for the MBA HR program; an Orientation program to familiarize students to the IIM way of learning and acquaints them with the infrastructure, services, and student activities at IIM Amritsar. The first year courses are compulsory and provide basic conceptual knowledge and analytical tools in different functional areas of management. All students undergo eight to ten weeks of summer internship after first year of the program. Summer internship helps students to apply their first year learning by doing organizationally sponsored projects. Student performance in their summer internships often result in final placement offers.

Second-year MBA HR comprises core courses in HR spread out over the fourth, fifth, and sixth terms of the program. Students can also choose elective courses from among areas of specialization like Marketing, Finance & Accounting, Information Systems & Analytics, Production & Quantitative Methods, Business Strategy, Economics, and Communication. Additionally, students will also be required to go through a compulsory HR related field project in the second year under the guidance of Institute faculty.

The Two-Year Full-Time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (E-Business) programme consists of six trimesters. The course framework of the programme has been designed to ensure that PGDM (E-Business) management graduates at LBSIM gain a balanced mix of strategic thinking, tactical implementation, specialised knowledge, and general management abilities. The focus in the first year is largely on fundamental courses, that provide a foundation of conceptual and analytical abilities necessary for pursuing a specialised course in E-Business. These fundamental courses enable students to have a holistic understanding of business environment and help students improve creative thinking, effective communication skills, and teamwork. During the first year, students study a total of 21 (twenty-one) courses in the areas of Economics, Human Resources, Quantitative Techniques, Accounting and Finance and Information Technology.

PGDM Student connect programme is offered before the commencement of regular classes to help incoming candidates cope with the rigours of PGDM Programme by offering courses that bridge the knowledge gap between the undergraduate degree (in different domains) & PGDM Curriculum.

In the second year, students are required to opt for 6 (six) elective subjects in addition to 11 (eleven) core subjects. This enables them to pursue an in- depth learning in the specialised area of E-Business. Participants are also required to complete online certifications which carry credits.

Each student is required to undertake summer internship in a company of repute for the duration of 8-10 weeks as part of the course curriculum after the third trimester examination. In its PGDM E-Commerce Programme, LBSIM offers choice of specializations from the areas of  Project Management, Entrepreneurship, Sustainability and CSR, Leadership among others. 

The Two-Year Full-Time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science) programme comprises of six trimesters. During the first year, the emphasis is primarily on core (compulsory) courses, to build a foundation of conceptual, technical and managerial skills, required for pursuing specialized study in various domains of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. These core courses help students to build solid technical foundations along with core management concepts. The courses cover Management areas like Marketing, OB/HR, Economics, Accounting & Finance, Operations, General Management as well as covering Artificial Intelligence and Data Science domains. A lot of emphasis is on hands on training on softwares for implementing the concepts taught.
