The Master of Business Administration (MBA) at IIM Sambalpur is a two-year full-time residential programme. The two year MBA programme has rigorous and contemporary curriculum which is updated as per industry demand. The first year of the Programme provides the participants with a thorough grounding in the functional areas of Management. The first-year courses in the core curriculum are common to all participants. The rigour of the programme will enable them to enter into any stream of management when they embark upon a career, regardless of the choice of specialization they make in the second year. The summer internship towards the end of first year is an important building block of the programme. In the second-year, the participants are given the opportunity to choose elective courses from a number of functional areas, viz., Economics, Financial Management and Accounting, Information Systems Management, Production and Operations Management, OB &Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, and Policy & Strategy Management.
Instructors adopt multiple pedagogical tools including lecture-discussions, case method, problem-solving exercises, psychometric tests, behavioral and computer-based simulations, projects, class presentations, and various forms of technology-based learning such as multi-media, and e-learning, to facilitate the effective learning. Self and group studies are given higher emphasis over the lecture-based study.

Integrated Programme in Management (IPM)
IIM Rohtak launched 5 Year IPM in 2019-20. The first batch is to pass out this year. Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) offered at IIM Rohtak is a dual degree BBA+MBA programme. IPM is for students after class XII who aim to pursue their career in Business Management. IPM students are automatically promoted to IIM Rohtak MBA program after completing 3 years of BBA program. IIM Rohtak also offers exit option after successful completion of 3 years with award of degree of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).
Upon successfully completing academic rigor of 5 years, the participant will be awarded Integrated Programme in Management (BBA+MBA) by IIM Rohtak. The student does not need to appear in CAT or any other MBA entrance exam after completing the 3 years of BBA. IPM admission is through online IIM Rohtak IPM Aptitude Test of 2 hours duration. Entire IPM programme is divided into two parts; the first part focuses on the foundation courses, whereas the second part focuses on the management. The 5 year IPM curriculum at IIM Rohtak consists of 15 terms spread over a period of 5 years. One year has three terms, each of 3 months duration. The entire programme is divided into two parts; the first part focuses on the foundation courses, whereas the second part focuses on the management. Students will be undergoing internships at the end of every academic year. IPM curriculum has 4 core areas: Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, and Humanities. Other courses such as Business Communication, Management Information System, Business, and Foreign Languages are also offered. Courses offered at the PG level (4th and 5th Year) will be the same as per the PGP curriculum.
IPM Students will be taught by the faculty from IIM Rohtak, other reputed institutions in India and abroad, and industry experts. The teaching pedagogy will be a combination of lectures, case analysis, discussions, exercises and seminars, role plays, management games, project work, and computer-based learning methods.

Aggregate Percentage of Marks: The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in X and XII Standard would be calculated based on the aggregate marks of all subjects that appear in the mark sheet/grade sheet, irrespective of the Board’s regulation. In case the candidates are awarded letter grades or grades points instead of marks, the conversion of grades to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the Board/ Competent Authority explaining the method of conversion from where they have obtained the certificate.

Doctoral Programme in Management
The Doctoral Programme in Management (DPM) of IIM Rohtak is a full-time residential Ph.D program offered in various disciplines. The programme aims at developing high-quality researchers and teachers for academic institutions in India and abroad; Producing top-quality management experts and thinkers for business organizations, government, and society in India and abroad.
The programme duration is four years. The participants are given a monthly stipend, waiver of tuition fees, contingency grant to attend international/national conferences and support for research visits to global partner institutions. Areas of specialization in IIM Rohtak DPM programme are Economics & Public Policy, Finance & Accounting, Management Information Systems, Marketing & Strategic Management, Operations Management & Quantitative Techniques, Organizational Behaviour & Human Resource Management. A candidate can apply to two areas at a time with payment of registration charges separately.

All the candidates pursuing Doctoral programme should reside at IIM Rohtak campus. No fee is charged from DPM students. They are given various month scholarships, contingency grants and other financial support to pursue their research

IIM Rohtak One-Year Post Graduate Programme in Management for Executives (PGPx) is designed to provide the candidates with an opportunity to get a formal management qualification of a premier brand in India with state-of-the-art knowledge acquisition. The programme is meant for the working professionals with minimum 3 years of work experience. The focus of the programme is on general management orientation and practical knowledge with an emphasis on inculcating exemplary leadership in challenging managerial situations.
The Programme at IIM Rohtak is uniquely structured to provide high-quality management education to practicing executives with minimal disruptions at their workplace. This programme is for professionals, who desire to enhance their managerial knowledge and skills through formal management education.
Total programme duration is 12 months divided in three terms. The PGPx is offered in blended mode covering 625 hours out of which 12 will be campus visits. On completion of the programme the participants will be awarded Post Graduate Diploma by IIM Rohtak and will get IIM Alumni status.

IIM Rohtak One-Year Post Graduate Programme in Management for Executives (PGPx) is divided into three terms. There are total 29 courses offered in the programme in the 3 terms. Each term consists of 9/10 courses. There are 370 Online class sessions and 75 Online sessions (On campus). The programme also consists of 180 Project work assignments.
There will be total 625 hours of sessions including 12 campus visits with 3 campus visits per term. However, total campus visits are 12 days overall.

Executive Post Graduate Diploma In Sports Management (EPGDSM)
IIM Rohtak has started a specialized program in “Sports Management” for experienced professionals, sports graduates, and sports enthusiasts. This program is for industrious participants interested in working in the sports, entertainment and related industries. While a graduate with 50% marks can apply for the programme, experience in the relevant field is an added advantage to pursue the programme but is not mandatory. On successful completion of the academic requirements of this 2 year programme, the students will be awarded “Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Management”. IIM Rohtak alumni status will be awarded to all the students.
Graduates of this program will be equipped to understand the legal, regulatory, operational, financial and branding concepts in the sports industry, nationally and globally. This understanding enables graduates to solve the problems arising in the industry and carve a niche for themselves in this growing sector in India.
Duration of the programme will be two year. This will include total 700 interactive sessions with a mix of Offline Sessions, Online Sessions, Project Work and Industrial Visits.
The successful completion of EPGDSM programme offers opportunity to pursue MSc in Sports Management from Ulster University, UK. The program offers opportunity for National and international level participation from various sports field. The program offers live projects in various sporting events for example BWF Super Series event, AFC Cup, Chennaiyin FC (ISL Football Championship), POKKT, BWF Super Series event and many others

Visiting faculty from international repute universities like Indian Institute of Sports Medicine, Ulster University (UK), Leeds Becket University (UK), Zurich University (Switzerland), University do Porto (Portugal), British Columbia Institute (Canada), University of Helsinki (Finland) and University of San Francisco (US) among others are also teaching the programme.

Education background
To be eligible for admission to the PGDM Programme, the participants must possess a bachelor’s equivalent degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent in any discipline, from a recognised university in India or abroad (recognised by the UGC / Association of Indian Universities). However, the final selection may be based on a higher cut-off percentage depending on the total number of applicants for the programme. The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling under the 10+2 system or equivalent.
